    Dr. Stein has interests that range from social justice and philosophy to education, including specializations in developmental psychology and ethics. He studied philosophy and religion at Hampshire College, and then educational neuroscience, human development, and the philosophy of education at Harvard University.

    While a student at Harvard, He co-founded what would become Lectica, Inc., a non-profit dedicated to the research-based, justice-oriented reform of large-scale standardized testing in K-12, higher-education, and business.

    Currently, He serves as Chair of the Education Program at Meridian University and as Academic Director of the activist think-tank at the Center for Integral Wisdom.

    Fumiko Hoeft MD PhD is a psychiatrist, neurophysiologist, and a developmental cognitive neuroscientist trained clinically at Keio Univ Sch of Med (Tokyo, Japan) and in research at Harvard, UCLA, Caltech and Stanford. She is Associate Professor of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, Weill Institute for Neurosciences and Dyslexia Center, and Director of UC Office of the President's Science-based Innovation in Learning Center (SILC), and UCSF Hoeft Laboratory for Educational Neuroscience (brainLENS.org). She is also Scientific Advisory / Executive Board Member of the Bay Area Discovery Museum's Center for Childhood Creativity (BADM's CCC), Board Member of the International Dyslexia Association (IDA), and serves as Neuroscientist-in-residence at schools and organizations. Broadly speaking, our group examines brain development and skill acquisition in children at various time-scales and levels using various neuroimaging techniques such as TMS/tDCS, fNIRS, fMRI, aMRI, DI and MEG. We are interested in identifying how biology (gene) and environment influence the development of language, social and executive brain networks. We study healthy children and also children with neurodevelopmental disorders such as idiopathic autism, developmental dyslexia.

    Dr. Barlett is a professor of Educational Leadership (school administration certification) and educational law at Tx A&M University Kingsville.

    She is also a professor at the Institute for Special Educational Advocacy at The College of Wm & Mary, Wyeth Law School each summer with Pete and Pam Wright.

    Besides for her teaching she also does important educational advocacy work , helping teachers and students all over the US, utilize the rights she worked so hard to attain.

    Mary Helen Immordino-Yang is a neuroscientist and human development psychologist. In her work she studies the neural, psychophysiological and psychological bases of emotion, social interaction and culture and their implications for development and schools. A former junior high school teacher, Mary Helen earned her doctorate at the Harvard University Graduate School of Education. She is an Assistant Professor of Education at the USC's Rossier School of Education and Assistant Professor of Psychology at the Brain and Creativity Institute. She's also the inaugural recipient of the Award for Transforming Education through Neuroscience.

    The grandson of one of New Jersey's most prominent civil rights leaders, LeDerick uses his gift for spoken-word poetry as the gateway to larger discussions on equal opportunity, pride, self-determination and hope for people with disabilities.
