Defeat The Breach (defeatthebreach.org) is a cybersecurity awareness coalition of partners from IT, legal and public relations specialists bringing awareness and solutions to one single place!
About Defeat the Breach: It is predicted that in a couple short years, cybercrime will cost the global economy trillions of dollars. In 2017 alone, cyberattack-related costs for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) equaled over $2.2 million each. Furthermore, over 60% of SMBs go out of business within six months of a major cyberattack. The founding members of the Defeat the Breach Coalition saw these statistics and decided that something had to be done. The Defeat the Breach Coalition is a multidisciplinary alliance of professionals who are experts in their chosen fields, working together to protect SMBs from every aspect of a cyberattack. The Coalition’s members are so committed to defeating the breach that we offer many of our services free of charge.
Why partner with the DBC? There is no shortage of IT service providers that claim to protect business networks from cybercrime, but what about the fallout that affects other parts of the company? Remember that $2.2 million figure? Only about half of that average loss was the result of damage or theft of IT assets, while the other half came from loss of productivity, disrupted operations, shattered customer confidence, lawsuits, fines, and other related problems. When you partner with the DBC our cybersecurity technicians will protect your systems, our legal team will protect your rights, and our public relations division will protect your reputation.
