Using Your Book To Love Your Audience Where They Are with Megan Bottom Jun 15, 2021
    Show notes

Megan Bottom and her husband married in 2010, and each brought three children to the family they call the "Bottom Bunch". Frustrated at the lack of resources that were available to their blended marriage, they set out to help themselves and other blended families navigate their blend. Their tag line about blended family marriages being harder...is not just a cute truth, it's their reality.

They also published Nana's Pearls and have built an online monthly membership site for support, one-on-one coaching if that is what you desire, and a course that is offered stand-alone or as part of the site.

    Megan's Tips:

    2. Do the work! Walk through the process.
    3. Have an idea behind your book that can be monetized.

The Importance of Proofreading with Lucy Morton Jun 11, 2021
    Show notes

This episode is from a series of live trainings Jeremy did inside the Book Boss Tribe Facebook group called Tactical Thursdays. Each week, he interviewed a guest who talked about their part of the book publishing process. This episode is with proofreader Lucy Morton.

After earning a degree in English, Lucy spent nearly a decade as a paralegal at a competitive law firm in Austin, Texas, serving as (among other things) the final set of eyes on countless legal and professional documents. She earned a reputation as the "go-to" proofreader in the office, editing everything from press releases to appellate briefs. Upon moving back to her home state of South Carolina in 2020, Lucy decided to take her love of editorial work to a new level. She founded LKM Editorial in February 2021, with the goal of using her keen attention to detail to help individuals and businesses succeed in producing clean, professional content. When not editing, she can be found in kitchen baking, listening to a podcast, or walking around her neighborhood in Charleston, SC.
