    Show notes

It is Monday, but The D.L Hughley Show Podcast will start your week off like the weekend with Friday’s episode of The D.L. Hughley Show. It is a What Had Happened Was Friday where we play some of the best calls from The Questions of Day last week. And there are people who are not always happy with the things that D.L. Hughley has to say so we give them time to say F-You D.L. Hughley. We have our F-You D.L. Hughley correspondent as always, little Niecy James. Also, Jasmine talks about Jason Alden being under fire again for the same song, Try That in Small Town. He says that the song or the video is not racist and if you think that then you must have not watched the video. But the video is shot at locations where there have been some of the most horrific killings of black people in America. But Jason Alden said there are people of color in the video so it can’t be racist, right? All of that and more on The DL. Hughley Show Podcast.

FULL EP | Man Shoots Stepson and Father For Loud Music, Should Single Parents Adopt and More Nov 03, 2023
    Show notes

In this episode on The D.L. Hughley Show Podcast we have to talk about America being dangerous. The first thing that Jasmine and D.L. talk is about a Brooklyn man shooting his neighbor and step son for loud music. The man has complained about the music before but this day he went up to confront the family and the man shot both step father and step son as they were trying to flee. This prompted D.L. to talk about how dangerous America really is. In the GED Section, D.L. spoke about there being 550 mass shootings in America this year as he is recording. This comes after more information has come out from the mass shooting in Maine. Also, on The D.L. Hughley Show today we talk about adoption. It has been proven that two parent households are better for children. But the Question of the Day is do you think single parents should be allowed to adopt children? All of this and more on The D.L. Hughley Show Podcast.

FULL EP | Keith Lee Caused a Stir Up In Atlanta, Restaurants Should Make You Feel Welcomed, Eriq La Salle Joins DLHS and More Nov 03, 2023
    Show notes

Today on The D.L. Hughley Show Podcast, D.L. and the crew talk about Keith Lee and how he has made some restaurant owners and people in Atlanta upset. Keith Lee is a TikTok food critic that goes around the country eating at restaurants and giving his opinion. Lee makes it a point that he wants to be treated like every other patron, so he tends to send his family in first. While visiting Atlanta, Lee has some critiques of Atlanta restaurants but not about the food, the customer service and some of the weird rules. During the GED Section, D.L. said that a restaurant should make you feel welcomed and that the younger generation should not get bad service at a soul food restaurant like he and his generation tolerated when they were younger. This conversation spawned the Question of the Day. There are some people that are upset with Keith Lee because he is hurting black businesses. Is Keith Lee helping or hurting black businesses? Also, actor and author Eriq LaSalle joins The DLHS to talk about writing his four part book series, Laws of Depravity, Laws of Wrath, Laws of Annihilation, and Laws of Solomon. He talks about wanting to turn these novels into movies. All of that and much more on The D.L. Hughley Show

FULL EP | Kai Cenat Live Streaming From Jail, Ex-NBA Player’s Wife Doing Onlyfans and More Nov 01, 2023
    Show notes

In this episode of The D.L. Hughley Show Podcast, we have to talk about social media star, Kai Cenat live streaming from a fake jail cell. Cenat is claiming that he was in jail for seven days for inciting a riot in NYC. There were celebrities that stopped by as he live streamed. People are upset with this, saying that Kai Cenat is making fun of being in jail. In the GED Section, D.L. Hughley spoke about what people see on social media. Social media is based on your algorithm and will feed you a steady diet of what you want but that does not mean it is true. We have our very own echo chamber telling us whatever we want to hear but it can often be false information. The Question of the Day comes from former NBA player Joe Smith. He was recently filmed by his wife, while he is finding out that his wife has an Onlyfans page and never told him. In the video you can hear her saying that you knew me before we married and you knew what she did. Smith’s wife is a former porn star. She stated that she had to do what she had to do and Onlyfans is paying her well. If the family needs the money, should Joe Smith be upset about it? All of this and more on The D.L. Hughley Show Podcast.

FULL EP | Children Dying Isn’t Political, Gag Order on Trump, My Child Support For My Child, and More Oct 31, 2023
    Show notes

In this episode of The D.L. Hughley Show Podcast, D.L. started the show off hot. On the GED Section, D.L. spoke about the conflict that is raging in Gaza. What upset D.L. is that children are dying and nobody is doing anything about it. He says a person should not be labeled anything if they call out that children are dying. DL is pro-Human, so he doesn’t want anyone dying to violence but children dying is something else. Also, Jasmine talks about a federal judge reinstated a gag order on former president, Donald Trump, for targeting prosecutors in his upcoming cases. Trump’s team argues that this is a violation of his First Amendment rights and it is right as his presidential campaign. D.L. thinks that Trump should be in jail and that he should not be allowed to run for president because he is a criminal and continuing acts by targeting prosecutors. The Question of the Day is should a man’s child support money go for only his child or should it go for every child in the household even if it is not their child? D.L. Hughley, Jasmine and the rest of the crew weighed in as well as the listeners. All of this and more on The D.L. Hughley Show Podcast.
