In this episode of The D.L. Hughley Show Podcast, the DLHS crew send their condolences to the King family after the passing of Dexter Scott King. Dexter Scott King passed away at the age of 62 from prostate cancer in his home in Malibu, CA. Dexter is the youngest son of Dr. Martin Luther and Coretta Scott King. In the GED Section, D.L. talks about power and that it concedes nothing without demand. People are saying what they want from politicians, and they are doing it. You must make politicians concede to your demands because that is the only way you get anyone to do anything in politics. A pastor in Ohio was arrested for housing homeless people. The pastor’s church is next to a homeless shelter that was ran out of space. The pastor was told that the church was not zoned for housing people, but he continued to do so. He was subsequently jailed. The Question of the Day comes from a social media post from a gynecologist, stating that it is healthy for people to change their underwear daily, particularly women. In this episode of The D.L Hughley Show Podcast, D.L talks about Donald Trump in the GED Section. Piers Morgan was on The Breakfast Club and when he spoke about Donald Trump, he always said, “if.” Morgan would say, “I agree but if he hadn’t done that,” and that would continue. The issue is that Trump did not lead the country properly during Covid-19 that left many dead. Then Donald Trump caused an insurrection. D.L. said Trump failed us as a leader. Director, comedian, and screenwriter Chris Spencer joins the DLHS. Also, the Question of the Day comes from there being so much controversy around men wearing a dress in Hollywood, especially after the Katt Williams interview. Marlon Wayans took offense to it saying that white actors are allowed to wear a dress and be celebrated but when black people do it they are attacked by their own community. The question is, are black actors allowed to wear a dress as a creative choice like white actors or is Hollywood trying to emasculate black men. All of this and more on The D.L. Smith eviscerated Jason Whitlock after years of ignoring Whitlock’s constant jabs and lies about him. D.L. did not have too many pleasant things to say about Jason Whitlock either. In the GED Section, D.L. spoke about Nikki Haley that was racially inflammatory once again. Haley said that America was never racist. The sweet spot for Republicans is to say disparaging things about people of color, in particular black people. If there was no racism, why were there laws that existed, why did we fight a Civil War for people who did not want to end slavery. If you want to say racism has declined, you have an argument for that, but to say it never existed, then you are out of your mind. The Question of the Day comes from Dr. Umar Johnson. Dr. Umar says that we should not judge rappers Sukianna and Sexxy Red. The responsibility is to be better fathers, so we do not have promiscuous women. She said that you cannot have a job at a retail store or a fast-food restaurant. Majors spoke on Good Morning America about the incident and from the DLHS, they said he was not present during the interview. In the GED Section, D.L. spoke about the Constitutional crisis that our country is going through right now. Donald Trump is suing the state of Maine and Colorado for taking him from the presidential ballot sighting the 14th Amendment. The Supreme Court is taking up this case and D.L. commented that the Supreme Court has sided with state’s rights. Radio legend Tom Joyner joins DLHS to talk about his Fantastic Voyage on Royal Carribean. For the Question of the Day, D.L. posted something on IG about a woman who honors her husband, cooks for him, does not challenge his authority, cleans for him and there were so many negative comments about it. Ironically, the same things she is talking about is in The Bible and other religious books. Why do you think it was so controversial for this woman to express that she is a traditional woman? In this episode of The D.L. Hughley Show Podcast the cast talks about the issues on the set of The Color Purple. Taraji P. Henson came out and said that the cast had to drive themselves to and from set via rental cars and there was no food there on set as well. People have questioned Oprah Winfrey since she is an executive producer for the film. Winfrey said when she was made aware of the issues, the media mogul said she handled each situation when they arose. During the GED Section, D.L. talked about an argument he had on social media. The person he was talking to said that black people have been voting Democrat for over 50 years. D.L. took the man at his word but said if that is true, 57% of black people live in the southern region of the US. 19% live in the midwestern region, 18% live in the eastern region and 6% live in the western region. Black people vote Democrat, but most black people are governed by Republicans. So, people should look where they live and see if those people in power are doing anything for black people. If you like the way that you are governed, then keep the people there. If not, you should change who is in office. For the Question of the Day, it comes from a man who gave his lady $100 to gamble. His girlfriend ended up winning $30,000. The man was expecting half, but she did not give him anything. Should the man get half of the money or some of the money or nothing?
