Stay ConnectedSoccer is exciting, but soccer talk is so boring…UNTIL NOW.
Alexis Guerreros and Christian Polanco want to bring laughter to the beautiful game. Soccer is a growing sport in America and our goal (pun intended) is to show that American footy fans are unlike any other in the world. Through the lens of stand-up comedy, The Cooligans deliver hilarious takes on American soccer that are refreshing and fun and make fans of MLS and US Soccer enjoy the league much more than they ever thought they could.
On October 23rd, 2020 we lost our dear friend Daryl Grove of Total Soccer Show. It's been a really difficult past few days for all of us, but it's been incredible getting to see all the memories and thoughts shared by all the people who loved and appreciated Daryl. We just want to send our deepest condolences to Daryl's wife Shannon, the rest of his family, Taylor Rockwell, and all TSS fans. We are honored we got to spend as much time as we did with Daryl. We are one of the lucky ones.
Today we will be playing back our episode with Daryl and Taylor when they joined us in the FuboTV studio to tape an episode of our show. They were both so great. We are so happy we got the opportunity to do this because we owe so much to TSS for not only befriending us, but believing in us, and having faith that a soccer and comedy duo could work side by side to bring something special into the world.
We'll miss you, Daryl. We love you, Taylor.
The legendary Shep Messing joins us today to regale us with some incredible American soccer stories. The Red Bull New York announcer has had an incredible career and talks to us about being teammates with Pele, the madness of the NASL, and how posing nude in a women's magazine got him kicked off the New York Cosmos.

So we got some very bad news. Our friend Daryl Grove of Total Soccer Show is now receiving hospice care after a long battle with cancer. We are devastated. Today's show was not easy to record but we got through it somehow. We don't know what to type here. We don't even know if people read the show notes. If anyone is reading this, all we'll say is treasure every moment you have. How wild is it that we get to experience this existence? We won some cosmic lottery and we get to exist, and deal with sadness and also goodness. Daryl is such a good person who left an impression on everyone he met. Engaged everyone with kindness and genuine interest. You meet him once and you feel like he's going to be one of your best friends. We hate this a whole lot. We love Daryl. We love Total Soccer Show. Sending love to Daryl and his family.
Today is a full show with an interview we taped with Orlando City announcer Miguel Gallardo last week. Just a heads up, the tone of the show will shift dramatically.
