"We, and all of science, have yet to understand the flight of a bee. So, to delve into ones slef, and understand that...what a heavy, gut wrenching, worthy endeavor." - TERENCE MITCHELL
Today we are very privileged to have Brandon Lilly back on the podcast for a very real, raw, and challenging look at this journey we call life.
He is a former powerlifting champion and is in the Marketing and special projects division of SORINEX Exercise/Outdoors. He is a hunter, outdoorsman and is always seeking adventure.
Among the myriad topics we discuss, we talk about connecting and respecting people regardless of fame, fortune, and followers, and how we can uncover some hidden gems that will have a great impact on our lives. Brandon challenges us with the concept of emulating people we look up to and are inspired, but knowing there comes a time when we got to take the lessons learned and develop our own approach, plot our own path and become our own masters.
We delve into how disconnected people have become from nature and the things that make them feel alive, and Brandon encourages us to make ourselves available for those visceral experiences that come from being exactly where we need to be and recognising where we need to step away from the noise and seek out and go on adventures and live in the true sense of the word.
We draw some analogies and allegories from the art of hunting and what this experience has brought to Brandon's life and what it has taught him.
Brandon really pushes home the point that we need to adopt an approach of knowing and expressing who we are and where we are going, independent of the approval, praise, or rejection of others.
