Show notes
Can Sherlock Holmes follow the trail of a culprit 28 hours ahead of him? Arthur Conan Doyle, today on The Classic Tales Podcast.
Welcome to The Classic Tales Podcast, where an audiobook approach delivers an immersive experience in classic literature. I'm your host BJ Harrison. I'm glad you could join us.
Unlimited everything. With a monthly donation of $9.99 or more, that's what you get. Unlimited access to everything I've recorded for the last 19 years. These are the same titles found on Audible, Spotify, and elsewhere. They already have thousands of five-star ratings. Many have won awards. And you can download all you want. No limits.
And it all directly supports the show. The guy who does all the work. That'd be me.

Okay, so we have a little housekeeping to attend to. First of all, if you'd like to see a live recording of Jeeves and the Dog MacIntosh, by P.G. Wodehouse, you can. I'll be performing The Classic Tales Podcast live at the FanX Convention (formerly Salt Lake ComicCon). I'll also be one of four narrators performing The Call of Cthulhu live, as well as Asleep in Armageddon, by Ray Bradbury. So if you're in the area, and are planning on attending, please come and say hi.
There's also a super fun interview I had with Heather Ordover from CraftLit, the annotated audiobook podcast, that you can check out. Her podcast turns 20 this year, and since many of her listeners have heard my work, since she's used some of my recordings in her show, she was gracious enough to have a chat with me. If you wonder why I do this, or what my story is, it's a great snapshot of lil' ol' me. A link to the interview can be found in the show notes.
Also, today we have an instance of an author using racism as a cheap device to create a villain. Yeah, it's pretty gross. For the record, any time you say, "everyone who looks like this, or comes from here, or thinks like this – they're all the same", yeah, that's a problem. Unfortunately, many Victorian authors use this and various forms of racism as a cheap shortcut. Just wanted to give you a heads up.
And now, The Sign of the Four, Part 3 of 5, by Arthur Conan Doyle
