The session begins with a quick message from President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Thomas S. Monson, relating a story about attending the 1964 world's fair and seeing a film depicting the passing of a grandfather being reunited with loved ones who died before.
Elder Russell M. Nelson of the LDS Church Quorum of the 12 Apostles spoke about spiritual survival, a concept he says is important in the days of increasing turmoil worldwide.
Next, Mormon Elder Peter F. Meurs of the 70 spoke about five ways people can increase the impact of participating in the sacrament, Sister Linda S. Reeves of the Relief Society General Presidency spoke on repentence, and Elder M. Russell Ballard of the Quorum of the 12 Apostles mentioned how even Jesus Christ had some disciples who walked away, and today is no different.
