    The Chicagoland Guide

The Chicagoland Guide explores how the Chicagoland area actually works, through conversations about housing, infrastructure, development, and the civic decisions shaping the region’s future.

Hosted by Aaron Masliansky, a Chicago-area real estate advisor and urban planning graduate, the show features in-depth discussions with mayors, developers, policy leaders, business owners, and cultural institutions. Rather than surface-level neighborhood highlights, each episode examines the forces influencing growth, investment, and community life across Chicagoland.

For residents, investors, and civic leaders who care about long-term thinking and how place shapes opportunity, The Chicagoland Guide offers thoughtful, grounded conversations about the region’s trajectory.

    Plans for 2023 Dec 21, 2022
    Show notes

Today, I am releasing a podcast with my plans for 2023.

First, I talk about the events I have planned for the month, especially the first event on January 19th at Ignite Gaming Lounge which is a fundraiser for the Rotary Club of Evanston's charitable foundation. This is the event for the who's who of Skokie and Evanston to hear from the leaders of the community of what to expect, and for everyone to get to meet. Monthly events will follow. You can sign up for the event by clicking here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/skevanston-social-tickets-484542699257

In 2023, I also plan to change the focus of my second podcast, the Real Estate Diplomat. The shows current focus is an American's guide to global real estate looking through a geo-political lens. While there may be some episodes that relate to real estate, I plan to shift the focus geopolitics through the eyes of an American real estate entrepreneur (me). I plan to speak to all types of people in regards to geo-political affairs who interest me, and I hope listeners come along for the ride. I view this show as my passion project, and I want to lean into that passion. If you have ideas for guests and topics, or potentially want to collaborate on this show, DM me.

I also talk a little bit on my thoughts on the current real estate market, and what to expect in 2023.

Wishing everyone happy holidays, and a very happy new year!

Thank you for listening to The Chicagoland Guide.
