Life is a roller coaster, and when you are facing the drop, it can feel like you are holding on for dear life. But keep holding on, don’t let go. The drop is going to pass, your worst is eventually going to be behind you. The season you are in is temporary but the God you serve and believe in is constant and eternal. Do you recognize Him in those seasons? What are you holding onto?

Katy Nichole bravely shares the story behind her song, “Hold On,” which comes from a dark season in her life where she did not want to continue on the roller coaster. But God intervened and reminded her that He is not done yet.

We hope this conversation serves as a reminder that God has a purpose for YOUR life, He is not done with you yet, either.

As you cry out to the Lord, you may find yourself wondering if He cares to hear the cry of your heart or the complaint on her mind. But He does. He always wants to hear from us. Even if it is just saying “please,” He draws near.

Katy Nichole discusses her song, “Please” which is a personal and vulnerable cry of her heart. It is a plea to God during hard moments. And we hope it gives you words to say if you feel like you don’t know what to say to God, but you just need Him to be with you and help you.

Katy Nichole - Things I Wish I Would Have Said Jul 11, 2023

You know those gatherings where things get a little tense because two people in the group have different opinions on something? Maybe you have been on one of the sides, and were in the tension too. Divisive moments like those can lead to broken relationships. But how do we respond?

We forgive. Human nature is flawed, so we are all going to hurt one another at some point. Is it better to forgive or live with unforgiveness? Carrying the characteristics of God - love, grace, mercy, and forgiveness - flows into our relationships with others.

Katy Nichole wrote “Things I Wish I Would Have Said” as an anthem that points us toward forgiveness. Knowing we are forgiven, we can forgive others.

Katy Nichole - Jesus Changed My Life Jun 27, 2023

Life can be hard. And when it is, can you still praise God through it?

Think about a time when you have gone through something painful - whether it was physical or emotional.

Maybe you are walking through difficulty right now. During those seasons, you may feel either connected or disconnected from God. Believing He can perform miracles and redeem situations, but feeling anger and bitterness toward Him for the pain you are experiencing.

But as you walk through those seasons, hold onto hope. If Jesus has changed your life before, you can remain confident that He will be with you and can bring new life again.

For Katy Nichole, she leaned into her faith when she faced back surgery (twice!). As she walked through that experience, she came out stronger - both physically and spiritually. Today, things may not be the same as they were, but she remains full of hope knowing that God did not fail her and that she is not forgotten by Him.

Announcing Season 3 with Katy Nichole Jun 15, 2023

Guess what?! Season 3 is *almost* HERE!

This season Candace will talk about the Stories Behind The Songs with her season co-host, Katy Nichole.

Katy joins Candace to share what inspired each song on her debut album, “Jesus Changed My Life.” This album came from a dark season that she overcame, and she hopes the words in these songs inspire others when they walk through hard seasons. Because God is with you in this moment, and in every future moment of your life.

One of the biggest reasons Candace invited Katy onto the show for this season is because she LOVES music. Not only does it speak to her throughout the roller coaster rides of life, but it also gives her peace, comfort, and joy. Does music do that for you too?
