27 - The Not-Deer Aug 13, 2024

Show notes

Welcome back campers to our final episode for a couple of months. We'll return on October 31st for a Halloween special and several other episodes that will take us through the end of the year.

Tonight, we delve into the heart of the haunted forest, where we’ll find secrets older than time itself. Our tales tonight will center on a creature whispered about around campfires and feared by those who dare to wander too deep into the wilderness — the enigmatic “Not-Deer”. Unlike its gentle and curious cousins, this cryptid defies nature's order. Described as standing on spindly legs that bend unnaturally as if it has too many joints, eyes that are set on the front of it’s head like a predator, rather than prey, giving off an uncanny feeling of intelligence, the Not-Deer prowls the moonlit woods, leaving a trail of unease in its wake. Locals speak of an unsettling presence, a wrongness that grips them when the Not-Deer is seen.

Join us as we uncover chilling encounters of this otherworldly being, exploring the thin veil between the known and the unknown. Prepare yourself, for once you've heard its story, you may never look at a deer in your yard the same way, ever again.

24 - The Mimic Jul 16, 2024

Show notes

Welcome back campers to our next chilling journey into the unknown. As we embark on tonight's adventure, a cautionary note to all that listen: never venture into the wild alone. Stay close to camp after dark, and whatever you do, resist the alluring calls that beckon from the shadowy depths of the forest where an elusive and ancient hunter of man lurks. It mimics the familiar, tempting us with echoes of loved ones. It lures with what it thinks we need, the smell of food when you're hungry, company when you're lonely, music where there should be none, beauty where there's danger... You’ll feel it in your gut, something deathly patient is lurking just beyond the treeline, watching, waiting.

Join me as we venture deep into the haunted woods where the enigmatic mimic hides. Please beware dear listener, for the sounds you hear coming from the depths of the woods may be your last.
