BONUS Episode! AB 1840 & Funding Housing for Illegal Immigrants Aug 29, 2024

Show notes

Assembly Bill 1840 passed in the California Senate this past Tuesday, August 27th, and now it's set to go before Governor Gavin Newsom for either his approval or veto. The bill is seeking to expand California's Dream for All Program to include illegal immigrants as those eligible. This will affect our housing crisis, our state budget, and the morale of California citizens overall.

This is happening in real time, and it's hit the news cycle due to its controversial nature. Today's episode is not part of our regularly scheduled programming, but the details around this bill and its effects need to be addressed! Join me in this BONUS edition of The California Conversation to get all the facts about what's happening this week in our state!
