An Associate Professor of History at Western Carolina University, McRae authored Mothers of Massive Resistance: White Women and the Politics of White Supremacy. Winner of the Southern Historical Society's 2019 Frank L. and Harriet C. Owsley Award, Mothers of Massive Resistance investigates in the indispensable role of White Women in maintaining White Power. McRae details how White mothers, White housewives, and White Women teachers opposed so called school desegregation. She details how this Racist Maternalism is generally excluded from our understanding and scholarship on of the Civil Rights Movement and Racism in general. Acting U.S. Capitol Police Chief Yogananda Pittman reported that treasonous Whites made plans to bomb capitol before President Biden's State of the Union address. Further testimony revealed the White Terrorists want to "kill as many members as possible." Conversely, as Texas continues to that from last week arctic cold, power disruptions, and "boil water notices," an 18-year-old Rodney Reese was informed he will not be prosecuted for walking home from work during the Texas blizzard. #BeingBlackDuringClimateChange In Nashville, Tennessee authorities continue to investigate the December 25th bombing that caused massive damage. The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly forum on Neutralizing Workplace Racism. We'll continue to adapt to how the coronavirus is disrupting the work environment. Journalist and Victim of White Supremacy Cerise Castle's allegations of Workplace Racism attracted intense attention over the week. She formerly worked at KCRW in Southern California, and while being interviewed, Castle recalled coworkers describing her as "militaristic" and having her ideas pilfered and used by others without receiving credit. Although she was addressing her difficulties in the field of journalism, most of the tackiness she describes is rife in all areas of labor. We'll continue to examine the best practices for maintaining safety in the workplace. Whether you're willing to take the vaccine or no, take the Covid-19 seriously. The Context of White Supremacy hosts the 14th and final study session on Jeffrey Toobin's The Run of His Life: The People v. O.J. Simpson. This 1996 New York Times bestseller enjoyed 2 different waves of success. It was critically acclaimed during the initial mid-90's publication and enjoyed a second boon following the award-winning and widely adored 2016 FX miniseries - which is based on Toobin's work. Toobin also pops up in the ESPN documentary: Made In America - which is intense White Supremacy propaganda. Toobin compiled more than a quarter century of journalism, spawned from his coverage of the Simpson trial. He wrote beloved books on the Supreme Court and authored a scathing indictment of President Donald J. Trump. Things were triumphant until the year of the rona. While participating in a live Zoom conference with prominent White journalists, Toobin brandished his penis and began masturbating. He was initially suspended by the New Yorker. After an investigation, Toobin was terminated. We'll keep this in mind while reading his account of the most well documented, most watched court trial of all time. Last week's installment described the testimony of Robert Heidstra. Called by Simpson's defense, Heidstra testified to hearing a fracas around 10:30pm at Nicole Brown Simpson's residence. Although he did not see any of the speakers, Christopher Darden repeatedly asked Heidstra to specify the racial classification of the voices. Johnnie Cochran objected and charged Racism, while Heidstra emphatically denied being able to distinguish the racial identity of the voices. All of this became trivial after the discovery of audio tapes where detective Mark (GED) Fuhrman says nigger continuously and brags about manufacturing evidence and choking suspects. Importantly, Fuhrman returned to the stand and refused to answer any questions to prevent self-incrimination. The Context of White Supremacy welcome reviews the counter-racist logic if the term "non-white." Last week, Suspected Racist Kim Heller scolded Gus for his use of the term. When asked by a caller, Heller said that it would be better to classify people in terms of "black" and "non-black." This is not the first time a White Woman admonished Gus for the use of this word. The C.O.W.S. is recognizing 12 years of broadcasting this month, so we'll revisit the similarities between Kim Heller and Jane Elliott's thoughts on why the term "non-white" should be buried. The Suspected White Supremacist verbally blasted black people and non-whites for decades in between abusing prescription medication. New York City is filed suit against Amazon citing the online retail giants failure to protect workers during the beginning of the Covid-19 crisis. Workers in a variety of fields continue to navigate the best way to protect their own safety while hoping their employers are being honest with them and protecting workers' safety. We'll also discuss the corporate response the January 6th Capitol siege. Some businesses have taken punitive actions against workers who were present for the treasonous mayhem. Toobin continued his degrading, veiled insults of black people, labeling Mr. Simpson's mother, daughter and sister as "exhibits." He also stuck to his routine deception, saying dismissed White juror Francine Florio-Bunten would have definitely convicted O.J. An writer, researcher, mother and White Woman, Baker is editor of Women in Higher Education, "a feminist newsletter with the continued goal 'to enlighten, encourage, empower and enrage women on campus.'" She also editor at The National Teaching and Learning Forum and the volunteer magazine Disability Acts. The New York Times recently interviewed Baker to share her views on the January 6th Capitol siege. She penned the 2011 award-winning text, Gospel According to the Klan: The KKK’s Appeal to Protestant America, 1915-1930, and called attention to the long history of White Terrorist violence in the U.S. We'll discuss how religion helped motivate the last months bloody insurrection as well as the role of White Women.
