94 year old Leonard Volk is still making an impact on Dallas Jan 12, 2023

In this episode, you’ll discover the history of the Volk Family, developers of Volk Estates and the founders of Volk Department Store, the first suburban department store in Highland Park Village.
Leonard Volk, the oldest member of the family (at 94 years of age) shares his family history dating back to 1889 and dazzles us with his book of photography, "everyday".
"everyday" is a collection of photographs Leonard has taken over the past 70 years and includes rarely viewed photographs of Dallas over the decades. This rich visual history of Dallas is complimented with the advice and guidance from the author on how anyone can easily pursue their passion for photography.
So whether you are new to the Park Cities or have been here for decades, you will love the stories Leonard shares from his nearly 100 years in Dallas.
