    The Brown Liquor Report

THE BROWN LIQUOR REPORT was birthed at the intersection of friends reuniting over heated and humorous discussion about politics and pop culture, chicken and liquor. It has quickly evolved from just an innovative way to catch up and share thoughts on hot topics, to a hot weekly podcast with an ever-growing following. It has emerged as a unique voice for Generation Xers who find themselves straddling ratchet and responsibility. It is the podcast for those who want to learn more about social justice, pop culture, and politics while enjoying the best 90’s hip hop beats and a pour of their favorite vice, free of judgment.

    Show notes

Greetings and salutations, friends of the pod! The BLR crew is back like we never left with a review of not just the week, but the year that was. This past week marked the 1 year anniversary of the pandemic lockdown and the largest disruption most of us have felt in our lives in decades. We commemorate the last 12 months of fuckery and foolishness and see what lessons we learned. We realized that real pandemic is the friends we made and weight we gained along the way. We cover how the culture responded to the lock down with new innovations like Club Quarantine and tried and true resistance like Black Lives Matter Summer. We got most of it covered and a few laughs to boot. Pour a little something, sit and #DontStopListenListen.

    Show notes

Greeting and salutations friends of the pod. This week on the show, we are back like we never left with updates on the never ending election, the pandemic and all of the fuckery on your time line. Since last we spoke, 45's hand picked SCOTUS and crooked cop told him nah on the coup so he continues to pout about his loss. Elsewhere, Pfizer and Moderna dropped something for the streets, and thus far we are cautiously optimistic. Biden fills out his cabinet like a Benetton ad and we aren't mad, but that doesn't give him a free pass. Also, Jeezy and Gucci verzused for the culture and we prepared for National Mac and Cheese Judgment day or as some call it, Thanksgiving. All this and more, on the Brown Liquor Report.
