The Bonfire with Big Jay Oakerson and Robert Kelly

Latest Episodes:

Jenna Von Oy Vey with Ari Shaffir Jan 01, 2025

Show notes

Jay and Ari Shaffir continue their dive into "very special" episodes of old sitcoms. Shows in the eighties used to break from their comedy genre and have a serious episode with a message. They admire the work of Blossom's Jenna Von Oy who played Six. She played sexier roles down the road and Jay is a fan. Nikki Glaser's "Song For Bob Saget" is played to the delight of everyone but Jacob who doesn't get it. *To hear the full show to go www.siriusxm.com/bonfire to learn more FOLLOW THE CREW ON SOCIAL MEDIA: @thebonfiresxm @louisjohnson @christinemevans @bigjayoakerson @robertkellylive @louwitzkee @jjbwolf Subscribe to SiriusXM Podcasts+ to listen to new episodes of The Bonfire ad-free and a whole week early. The Flames Of Justice Dec 20, 2024

Show notes

The music of Stephen Wilson Jr. was so good the other day that Jay was moved to sing in country style about his life in 1994. Bob has yet another dangerous incident on the subway with a vagrant. This prompts Jay to spring into action and assemble The Flames Of Justice! The Flames would be a vigilante group of just Jay and Bob, and will patrol the NYC subways to stop violent attacks. Jacob gets surprised by a rat while he was taking out the garbage and reacts in the most un-cowboy way possible. Atlanta Saved My Life Dec 19, 2024

Show notes

Lucas Rossi, Jay's rock star friend, made an earnest cover of Corey Feldman's Comeback King. Jamie Foxx came out with a new Netflix special that calls itself a comedy. Jay plays examples of how it is more like black church than a stand-up special. Foxx recounts the emotions and steps he endured after suffering a stroke. He brings his daughter out to play guitar and sing with him. The show is short on laughs and heavy on prayers.
