The Bill and Doug Show: Ohio State Football Talk

The Ohio State Buckeyes are the most interesting team in college football, and Doug Lesmerises and Bill Landis love talking ball and having fun with the fans of the defending national champions. Doug and Bill combine for more than three decades of on-the-ground experience covering Ohio State, and they’ve been talking Buckeyes on podcasts since 2015. Ohio State beats Purdue 34-10 live postgame: Jeremiah Smith sets personal high with Carnell Tate out Nov 08, 2025

The No. 1 Ohio State Buckeyes beat Purdue 34-10 as Jeremiah Smith set a career high with 10 catches. He led the Buckeyes with 137 receiving yards as Ohio State played without Carnell Tate, who sat out the game but should return next week. Julian Sayin was 27 of 33 passing for 303 yards and a touchdown, though he also threw an interception in the end zone. Jermaine Mathews had an interception for the Buckeyes on a pass tipped by Caleb Downs. Bill Landis was in West Lafayette for the game and he joins Doug Lesmerises on this live postgame show to break down everything about the Ohio State win, which also included a different starter at right tackle. College Football Playoff rankings released: Ohio State No. 1; risers and surprises from committee Nov 05, 2025

The College Football Playoff committee released its first rankings of the season on Tuesday, with Ohio State in the No. 1 spot, followed by Indiana, Texas A&M, Alabama and Georgia. On this episode, Bill and Doug gave their predictions for what the committee would do, and then reacted live in the moment to actual rankings. That includes Iowa six spots higher than in the AP poll, Oregon three spots lower, and Ole Miss probably puffed up more than it should be.
