A @Christadelphians Video: Study #1: “For 175 years the Christadelphians have been eagerly expecting the return of Christ to the earth to set up the Kingdom of God as was promised by all the Hebrew prophets and by the Apostles of Christ. But the Lord still has not come. Were we wrong to expect it at all? Did we misunderstand the purpose of Bible Prophecy? Why might the end be delayed? This Bible talk reviews “end times” throughout Bible history and discover principles at work including the amazing “long-suffering of the Lord” who is “not willing that any should perish”. But the end does come and takes the world by surprise.

What will make Israel Turn? (John Owen) Oct 01, 2023

Show notes

A @Christadelphians Video: n answering the question ‘How does Israel turn?’, this study concentrates on the work of Elijah whose role is to “turn the hearts of the fathers to the children and the children to the fathers” (Malachi 4:6). The study first looks at the work to be done in the land to prepare the Jews to meet their Messiah – helping them accept they are sinners who need to put their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ who will come to save them. The study helps to see why John the Baptist was not Elijah, but John’s work was a type of what Elijah will do. Finally, the study briefly looks at the work of bringing those Jews, who are still scattered around the world, back to the land promised to their fathers. This journey is seen as an exodus, like the journey they took when they left Egypt with Moses. Leaving their modern homelands, they will journey through the wilderness of the people and come to the land of Israel. The benefit to the Gentiles is tremendous, all nations share in the blessings of the kingdom of Israel being restored. The study points out a fundamental principle in the Bible: “the just shall live by faith”. The work that goes on with the Jews will be to open up God’s word to turn them to the wisdom (faith) of their forefathers. “the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.” Romans 10:11-12

Zechariah's Night Visions - 5 Studies (Darryl Rose) Sep 24, 2023

Show notes

the Christadelphian interpretation of Zechariah's Night Visions remains an important part of Christadelphian theology. The visions offer a message of hope and restoration for the people of God, and they are a reminder that God is still in control, even in the midst of judgment and chaos. Zechariah's Night Visions are a series of eight visions that the prophet Zechariah experienced in the early years of the Second Temple period. The visions are recorded in the book of Zechariah, chapters 1-6. Christadelphians believe that the Night Visions are a prophecy of the events that would lead up to the establishment of God's kingdom on earth. The visions are interpreted as a message of hope and restoration for the Jewish people, and as a warning to the nations. The first vision in the series is a vision of four horsemen. The horsemen represent the four winds of heaven, which are sent out by God to bring judgment on the nations. The second vision is a vision of a golden lampstand. The lampstand represents the presence of God among his people, and it is a symbol of hope for the future. The third vision is a vision of two olive trees and a lampstand. The olive trees represent the two anointed ones, who are believed to be Jesus Christ and his anointed successor. The lampstand represents the presence of God among his people. The fourth vision is a vision of a flying scroll. The scroll represents the law of God, which is a message of judgment and salvation. The fifth vision is a vision of a woman in a basket. The woman represents the city of Jerusalem, which is under attack by the nations. The sixth vision is a vision of four chariots. The chariots represent the four winds of heaven, which are sent out by God to bring judgment on the nations. The seventh vision is a vision of a man with a measuring line. The man represents the Messiah, who will come to measure the city of Jerusalem. The eighth and final vision is a vision of a great multitude. The multitude represents the people of God from all nations, who will be gathered together at the end of the age. The Night Visions are a complex and challenging set of prophecies, but they offer a message of hope and restoration for the people of God. They are a reminder that God is still in control, even in the midst of judgment and chaos. And they are a promise that God will ultimately triumph over evil and establish his kingdom on earth. Additional information: The Christadelphian interpretation of Zechariah's Night Visions is based on the belief that the Bible is a literal and historical record of God's dealings with humanity. Christadelphians believe that the Night Visions are a prophecy of the events that would lead up to the establishment of God's kingdom on earth, which they believe will occur in the near future.

The coming Kingdom of God - (P.S. On Earth) Sep 23, 2023

A @Christadelphians Video: THE KINGDOM OF GOD What is the Kingdom of God? Several answers are given to this question: Heaven, where God is The Church ruling spiritually on earth Jesus Christ ruling in men’s hearts Jesus Christ ruling on the Only the last of these fits Bible teaching. After His resurrection Jesus spent forty days with his disciples, “speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God” (Acts 1:3). At the end of this time the disciples “asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?”. He did not tell them that their idea of the Kingdom was wrong, but said: “It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in His own power” (vv. 6,7). Then Jesus ascended to heaven, and angels promised the disciples: “this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven” (v. 11). Later Peter said: “[God] shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began” (3:20,21). Putting these passages together, the Kingdom of God is to do with: The restoration of what once existed The nation of Israel The return of Christ The teachings of the Old Testament. That the Kingdom of God once existed is shown by some words of King David: “and of all my sons . . . [God] hath chosen Solomon my son to sit upon the throne of the kingdom of the LORD over Israel” (1 Chron. 28:5).

The Power of Daniel's Prophecies Dan 1, 1-8 Sep 23, 2023

Show notes

A @Christadelphians Video: Description: Kings, Princes and Kingdoms are the dominant themes in the book of Daniel as it foretells the rise and fall of mighty empires from the times of Nebuchadnezzar King of Babylon to the last days of the Kingdoms of men in which we live. The title “King of Kings,” first used to describe the might and false religion of the King of Babylon, is also applied to the Lord Jesus Christ whose righteous Kingdom Daniel describes as a "Great Mountain filling the whole earth”. It was Daniel’s mission to convey God’s words of encouragement and comfort to those who hope in this blessed time to come.
