264. Exodus 33-34: Your Ever-Increasing Glory in Christ May 20, 2024

Show notes

Sam and Will discuss the aftermath of the golden calf incident. After the Israelites reject God's offer to take the Promised Land without HIm, Moses pleads with God to show His glory. The Lord then hides Moses in the cleft of a rock and shows His back. How does this turn our minds toward Christ and the glory that is to be revealed to us (and in us) through His gospel? Join us to find out.

263. Exodus 32 - The Tragic Scandal of the Golden Calf May 13, 2024

Show notes

Sam and Will discuss the Israelites' idolatrous construction of the golden calf. Far more scandalous than the sanitized Sunday school versions of this story, the Israelites grievously offended and betrayed the Lord. In all likelihood, they were recreating the despicable worship practices of the Egyptians and attributing these drunken perversions to Yahweh's character. How will God and Moses respond?

Join us to find the answers.

259. Exodus 25 - Ark of the Covenant & the Empty Tomb Apr 15, 2024

Show notes

Sam and Will discuss the Ark of the Covenant. This is the most holy piece of furniture placed inside the Tabernacle of God. Why would God ordain this peculiar design and its bizarre list of contents? As we will discover, the Ark of the Covenant was meant to foreshadow the empty tomb of Jesus Christ and the power of His resurrection to bring our triumph over death. Join us to learn more.

258: Atheist Richard Dawkins Mourns the Fading of Christianity Apr 08, 2024

Show notes

Sam and Will discuss the evolution of Dr. Richard Dawkins. Ever since publishing The God Delusion in 2006, Dawkins has served as a leader of the "new atheists" movement. For years, he expressed a vitriolic and condescending contempt for both God and religion. Now, in light of the advances of both Islam and the "cult of woke," he expresses real sadness over the loss of cultural Christianity in the West.

257. Ten Commandments: Diagnosing A Covetous Heart (#10) Apr 01, 2024

Show notes

Sam and Will wrap up their series on the Ten Commandments with a discussion about the 10th Commandment and God's prohibition of coveting. Beyond that, Sam and Will talk about how Jesus redeems us from all of our failures to keep the commandments.

In Christ, we find the truth, the logos, and the life.
