Atmosphere, the trailblazing hip-hop group from Minneapolis, are heading out on the Tour De Friends: Part Deux spring tour dates. Following two sold-out performances in their hometown last November, the tour will commence in St. Louis and include stops in Boston, New York City, Cleveland, Chicago, and more, culminating in Sioux Falls. They will also grace the Florida Groves Festival in Orlando, FL during their journey. Joined by HEBL & NOFUN!, the duo is set to continue their touring spree in 2024.
This past December, Atmosphere unleashed the Talk Talk EP via Rhymesayers Entertainment. This EP stemmed from a recording session for the title track, "Talk Talk," originally featured on their most recent album, So Many Other Realities Exist Simultaneously. Additionally, the duo unveiled their cult classic mixtape from the early 2000s, Sad Clown Bad Dub 2, for the very first time. Experience the EP's singles, "Talk Talk (feat. Bat Flower)," "Rotary Telephone," "Traveling Forever," and "Wetter," along with singles like "Okay," "Bigger Pictures," "Holding My Breath," and "Still Life" from last year's album.
For more than twenty years, Atmosphere has remained dedicated to producing an extensive body of work, comprising over twenty studio albums, EPs, and collaborative ventures within the same time frame. Throughout this period, the esteemed duo has forged a legacy centered on authenticity, modesty, and emotional transparency, consistently pushing themselves to evolve while staying true to their origins. Slug has exhibited prowess in storytelling, weaving captivating narratives that not only reflect his own experiences but also pay homage to the artists who have influenced him. Meanwhile, Ant has adeptly crafted soundscapes drawing from a diverse array of influences such as soul, funk, rock, reggae, and the innovation of hip-hop's pioneering DJs and producers, imprinting his unique sonic signature while providing the heartbeat for compositions touching on themes of life, love, stress, and adversity. In essence, Atmosphere has acted as a musical guide, leading generations of listeners through the complexities of existence with each successive album marking a new chapter in their journey.
