    229. Jake McHenry & Ross Larson Oct 14, 2019
    Show notes

Jake and Ross are the co-founders of Float - the Airbnb for boats. As many of you know, we are two guys who are not from MN, do not have a cabin, nor a boat (yet) and only experience lake life when our friends are nice enough to have us over. Float is everything we need to get us on more lakes next summer and we're excited to say the least. From living in basement of Jake's parents house, to leasing out their own boats as a beta-test, to now building out their platform on multiple lakes around MN this past summer, the Float boys have an incredible story. Enjoy!

    Show notes

Brandon is the founder of The Social Butterfly, an advertising and creative media agency, and Link N Drink, a networking and panel event held every other month in the Twin Cities. It's been one year since Brandon's last appearance on the podcast and we discuss his recent ventures and experience with Link N Drink, how he plans on attacking Q4 with Social Butterfly (*insert meme of Tim Tebow holding up 4 fingers heading into the fourth quarter), and the changes he's made in his life through challenging himself with at least 1 thing every single day.

Tony teaches us a thing or two about making money as someone who has no idea how to save money as a 20-something as well as how he can potentially make money in the podcasting industry. Enjoy!

    226. Lawrence Pruitt Oct 07, 2019
    Show notes

Lars is the lead singer of Yam Haus, a pop-rock band based in Minneapolis, MN. We catch back up with Lars and reflect on the time it's been since we discovered him and his amazing band over a year ago. Through this time we've had Yam Haus play a concert in our backyard for Halloween and they were the headline performance at Boatchella this summer. We caught Lars at the perfect time as Yam Haus just recently SOLD OUT First Avenue as the headline act in December. Overall, this was a phenomenal podcast and conversation with a guy looking to connect with the people he can touch. We CANNOT wait until these guys blow up.

They are performing with O.A.R. November 8th @ The Myth. Get your tickets NOW!

    225. The Live Evolution Oct 03, 2019
    Show notes

Intern Ty joins us after a 3 week hiatus and we get his takes on our plan to restructure and how we see the Backpocket evolving. We've been following our #DominateTheSandbox model for almost a year now and we used this time to step back and reflect on what it is we're actually doing as well as where it's heading. Other highlights include (but are certainly not limited to) Andy's dentist visit after having 5 cavities 6 months ago and Declan starting a corporate rumor at work about his boss starting a cannabis farm.

We also get into his obsessions with cross fit and oreos (yes you read this right, he's OBSESSED with Oreos). Enjoy!

Mike & Matt Schwandt are owners of BauHaus Brew Labs, a local German brewery in Minneapolis who are growing family of forward drinkers who celebrate the joy of art and craft in everyday life. We discuss their new venture, Bolo by BauHaus, a hard seltzer they released THIS WEEK. We drank an entire 12 pack making sure their product was potent and our pallets were satisfied before we gave our signature of approval. We dive DEEP into the topics of meditation, Matt talks about getting diagnosed with pancreatitis, and our average qualities collectively struck up some incredible conversation.

If you're in the spirit for drinking some German beer and music, get STOKED for the 6th Annual Schwandtoberfest on 9/28. Get your tickets here.
