Detailing in the Real World: How to Get Great Results Even When Conditions Suck Jun 18, 2025

Show notes

Most detailing tutorials assume you've got perfect shade, unlimited time, and every tool available… but real life doesn't work that way.

In this episode, I share practical tips and strategies to help you still get pro-level results when you're detailing in direct sunlight, windy conditions, tight time windows, or without a pressure washer. Whether you're working in a driveway, on the go, or in extreme conditions — these techniques will make your process smoother and safer.

I also walk through creative ways to use products like The Super Soaper, Tough As Shell, and Softer Than Soft microfiber towels when the conditions are less than ideal.

How Detailing Got Overcomplicated May 21, 2025

Show notes

Detailing used to be simple. Now it feels like a hype-driven, overcomplicated mess. In this episode, I'm breaking down how the industry got here—and how we fix it.

Somewhere along the way, car care became more about foam shows and flashy bottles than actual results. New products drop every week, and detailers are told they need 15 different bottles just to wash a car. I'm calling BS on that.

Thanks again for all the support and patience — it truly means a lot!

Why The Big Brands Don't Do this... May 14, 2025

Show notes

In this episode, I break down a YouTube comment that perfectly captures why I started Jimbo's Detailing in the first place.

"Why haven't the big brands already come up with stuff like this?"

That one question says it all. Most detailing brands just repackage the same old formulas with new labels—but I wanted to do something different. I'm not here to clutter your shelves with hype. I'm here to create purpose-built products that save you time, simplify your process, and actually work.

I'll share why big brands can't innovate, why I refuse to settle for "good enough," and how I'm building every product in the Jimbo's line to make your detailing life easier—not more complicated.

If you've ever wished for a better product, I want to hear about it. Because chances are… I just might go build it.

Picture Perfect Polish Update: Why It's Taking Longer (And Why It'll Be Worth It) Apr 30, 2025

Show notes

In this quick update, I explain why the release of Picture Perfect Polish is taking longer than expected. The short version: we ran into a raw material shortage (specifically the aluminum oxide blend we use), and I'm also taking extra time to finalize the two custom pads that will complete the system.

Originally, I estimated a 6–8 week timeline — but due to these delays, it's now looking like another 6–8 weeks before we can start shipping.

I'm doing everything I can to make sure the final product is absolutely perfect and worth the wait.
