The Neo-MAGA Revolution Has Arrived | 7/17/25 Jul 17, 2025

From the minute Donald Trump came down the golden escalator, the Republican establishment has hated his guts. In the 2016 primary, the brash New York billionaire was treated by mainstream GOP leaders and commentators as a joke responsible for degrading the political process. As the real estate tycoon gained momentum, establishment figures had two choices: Declare yourself "never Trump" or pretend to have seen the light. Many fled to organizations like the Bulwark or the Lincoln Project, but others stayed around waiting for their moment to recapture the Republican Party from the MAGA populists. Now that Trump has come to define the GOP, the establishment figures who loathed him from the beginning have a new strategy. If you can’t beat MAGA, co-opt the movement.

Despite serving as vice president, secretary of state, and secretary of war as well as being a member of both the House and Senate, John C. Calhoun receives a surprising lack of attention in modern history books. In addition to his statesmanship, Calhoun also wrote on political theory, including his most important work, "A Disquisition on Government," where he developed his argument for the concurrent majority. Ryan Turnipseed joins me to discuss this neglected but critical American statesman and thinker.

The public has still learned shockingly little about the men responsible for the attacks on the president's life, and there seems to be little interest in getting to the truth of what happened on that day. Amnesty Would Destroy Trump's Legacy | 7/10/25 Jul 10, 2025

Earlier this week, Charlie Kirk reported that President Trump was facing significant pressure from the GOP donor class to strike a bipartisan deal that would provide amnesty to illegal aliens working in agriculture and hospitality. Establishment Republicans have always hated Trump, and the fact that his supporters have demanded true border security and immigration enforcement has played a major role in that animosity. The president has finally secured the funding necessary to keep his promises. Pivoting to a Reagan-style amnesty deal would be a disaster that could fracture the MAGA coalition. The Trump Administration Fumbles the Epstein Scandal | 7/7/25 Jul 07, 2025

After implying repeatedly that the Trump administration had serious evidence incriminating the clients of Jeffrey Epstein, the FBI and DOJ have now announced that there is no client list, that there is no evidence that Epstein blackmailed anyone, and that the infamous figure definitely killed himself. At this point, it is reasonable to ask what in the world is happening inside the administration. We'll also discuss Elon Musk's new America Party and why major corporations are pushing Trump to agree to a bipartisan amnesty bill.
