🔥 Description
Our PRESEASON WATCH LIST hits Kansas City, where the Chiefs enter 2026 with their superstar QB healthy enough for Week 1, a new Super Bowl‑winning running back ready to carry the load, and a legendary tight end fighting Father Time.
The headline: Is Patrick Mahomes still elite. Bloom and Cecil dig into his recovery, his arm strength, and whether the offense around him is stable enough to let Mahomes play at the level we're used to — or if the Chiefs are entering a transitional phase.
Then the new offensive engine: The Chiefs added Kenneth Walker, fresh off a Super Bowl MVP run, and he should get a lot of work as Mahomes and the passing game need time to gel. Bloom breaks down how Walker's physicality and explosiveness could become the backbone of Kansas City's early‑season identity.
And the eternal question: How much does Travis Kelce have left in the tank. Bloom and Cecil explore his usage, his efficiency, and whether the Chiefs can still rely on him as a top‑tier option — or if they need to start preparing for life after Kelce.
Kansas City has star power, uncertainty, and a shifting offensive balance — and this episode hits every angle.
