    Ontario Minister of Labour’s Constituency Office in Lindsay Vandalized Overnight Oct 25, 2018

    Vandals in Lindsay ransacked the constituency office of Laurie Scott, Ontario’s Minister of Labour overnight Tuesday, hours after the provincial government rolled back labour reforms passed by the previous Liberal government.

    In a tweet, Premier Doug Ford said someone broke into the office on Lindsay Street North and vandalized it. Scott is the MPP for Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock. The front door and windows were smashed and furniture overturned. A wall was spray painted “Attack Workers We Fight Back $15.”

    On Tuesday, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau got to kill two birds with one stone. He go to announce a new carbon tax and did so in the heart of Ontario Premier Doug Ford's own riding of Etobicoke North. Ford has been a strong opponent of the federal government's tax plans. The plan will push the price of gas up by a few cents, but the government says the public will see that money returned to them via a tax rebate.
