I say in the podcast intro that every adoption story looks different, and that is obviously very true, but some adoption stories look WAY different and come about in wild and crazy ways. That’s what this episode is all about! I got to interview 3 different adults who have 3 very different adoption stories. First, I want to introduce you to Kanya Carlson. Kanya and her husband Ty are high school sweethearts have 4 kids of their own and are occasional respite parents for their foster parent friends. Kanya is also the Children’s Ministry Director at her church, so she gets to help raise lots of kids in that capacity as well.

Meet Sarah McGooden! Sarah is married to Nate and is a bio mom of 4, but she definitely has her share of difficulties in the parenting realm along with us adoptive mamas. Along with all of the regular mom stuff, she is also an SLP at an elementary school in an incredibly high risk district. She sees and treats kids from hard places all day every day.

My first guest for SEASON THREE (!!!) is Angela Braniff. Angie is a creator and vlogger over on Youtube, a lifestyle and beauty blogger, and an Instagram baller. Oh yeah, and an adoptive mom of course! She and her husband Chris are parents of two bio daughters and 5 adopted kiddos from all over. I’m pretty sure they entered some sort of contest to see how many different adoption avenues they could take. They have adopted internationally (and special needs, to boot), domestically, and also via embryo adoption, which was a first for me to learn about!
