Episode 126- Chasing And Laying Down Dreams with Dianne Jago May 21, 2020
    Show notes

We've all seen the messages, presented in pretty fonts- "Don't let anything stand in the way of your dreams. Don't apologize for what you want. Pursue it at any cost. And never, ever quit."

What what does God say about our dreams and passions? What does dreaming look like when seasons, roles, and our capacity changes? What does dreaming look like as a mom raising kids? What role DO our passions and dreams play in God's Kingdom?

Today, our guest Dianne Jago shares her personal story and boldly points us back to the plum line of scripture. She tackles how changing the world may depend more on what we are willing to lay down than chase and how putting the first things first may lead us to a life far beyond what we could ever dream.

We also chat about how to find your people in the busy years of raising kids, what it means to find your true self and be courageous enough to embrace it, and how to stop wasting time on mommy guilt.

Episode 122- Praying The Names Of God: Lent Prayer Series, Part 5 Apr 01, 2020

Episode 121- Putting Jesus Over Everything with Lisa Whittle Mar 27, 2020
    Show notes

Just a couple of weeks ago, I spoke with author, speaker, and the host of the Jesus Over Everything podcast Lisa Whittle. She's a sister in Christ that I look up to so much spiritually and professionally—and we had a powerful conservation about what it looks like to uncomplicated our lives. To find peace. And how to put Jesus over every single thing in our lives. Her book to me—is for such a time as this. God is calling us back to things that are true and back to Him.

Today we are going to talk about why God put this message on Lisa's heart, how we can apply it specifically as moms in this season, how to lay down coping mechanisms and idols, and how to take the first steps in putting Jesus first.

Episode 120- Man of Sorrows: Lent Prayer Series, Week 4 Mar 25, 2020
    Show notes

I wrote this prayer remembering that Jesus could have come as a King, but instead came as a man of sorrows. We can take comfort today that He can empathize with our pain, grief, and questions. Pray with me today for Week 4 of our Lent series.

Episode 119- God Remembers Us with Ellie Holcomb Mar 20, 2020
    Show notes

It's overwhelming how much has happened in just a few short weeks, especially for my friends in Nashville. When I got on this call with Ellie Holcomb just a week before her book launch—we had no idea that a devastating tornado would tear through a city we both love dearly and no idea that we'd be facing the fear of a global pandemic. In the wake of all the news, Ellie's book launch was a little delayed but even with all the chaos—the message couldn't be more timely. Don't forget to remember! Although this is a children's book and album—don't we all need this right now more than ever? God loves us and wants to draw us near. One line of Ellie's book says, "on glad days and sad days God's near and He knows—he can use any storm to make good things grow."

I'm so grateful for Ellie's reminder and joy today and her obedience to work on a project in her busy season of motherhood that will encourage us all.

Episode 118- A Prayer Of Lament: Prayers For Lent, Week 3 Mar 17, 2020
    Show notes

Friends—we are living in scary times. My soul is grieved and heavy for our world today as we face this virus, as we mourn the losses. We are separated from our life-giving communities, our jobs, our families.

I have many thoughts on this virus but no doubt you've already received an email or message from every company on the planet. There's no shortage of dialogue—so I'll save my opinions.

Today, it seems fitting that we are in our Lent prayer reflections. Would you just join with me in prayer?

Episode 117- The Power Of Praying Women with Sheila Walsh Mar 13, 2020
    Show notes

I can't think of a more timely topic today than prayer. The wonderful, wise, and powerful Sheila Walsh joins us today to talk about why we need prayer more than ever, how to overcome the most common roadblocks to prayer, and where to start if prayer is a foreign practice or a struggle.

Sheila is a breathtaking story-teller and this episode is sure to be an inspiration, comfort, and balm to your soul!
