Creating a new, authentically fulfilled life means that you’ll have to let go of your old one. This week, Hallie and I unpack that concept, which can be a scary one that threatens our identity and makes our ego and psyche want to do backflips. What does it mean to play checkmate with life? In this episode, Hallie and I discuss the concept of accepting what life gives you and becoming okay with everything. We dive into the concept that when you reach this state of mind, there is nothing to lose, and you become fearless because you know that whatever you need will show up. This doesn’t mean you don’t play big in life, but instead, you are part of the experience and accept the way things are.

We also explore the idea that whatever experience you’re having is meant for you to have. It’s about being okay with the way things are, not the way you want them to be. The 200% Life — Your Inner World vs. Your Outer World Aug 16, 2022

Did you know that you are living in two different worlds? There is the outer world (business) and the inner world (spirituality) and they can coexist. You can be a spiritual seeker AND a business leader who drives a BMW, gets your groceries delivered, and creates Instagram Reels! This week, Hallie and I break down the difference between your inner world and your outer world, and why the distinction between the two is important. We give examples of tuning into our inner world so that the outer one flows more easily, and how just because you do the inner work that doesn’t mean the outer world will necessarily become picture perfect. This is the perfect conversation for understanding the convergence of business and spirituality, and how we can create more ease and less resistance to our outer situation when we really pay attention to our inner one.

What Does Fulfillment Really Mean? Aug 02, 2022

On the outside, fulfillment can look like a certain house, location, amount in your bank account, or even an aspect of your physical appearance. It can be the right car, social group, or career status. However, true fulfillment comes from an inner joy and living a life that is authentically aligned with your honesty. Money, Fame, Power, or Pleasure? What Is Your Idol? Jul 26, 2022

Do you have idols? We're not talking celebrities or mentors - we're talking things you idolize in such a way they influence your decision making. This week, Hallie and I draw our inspiration from New York Times Bestseller, Social Scientist, and Speaker, Arthur Brooks, by talking about the four main idols that drive us subconsciously: money, fame, power, and pleasure. With what seemed like unfortunate timing, Jeramie Worley began his real estate career right before the housing bubble burst in 2008. Realtors who had been in the business for decades were going bankrupt, and the outlook for a future in real estate looked bleak. But rather than give up and move on to another career path, Jeramie hunkered down to discover where deals were still happening. He learned about vacation rentals and found a partner to invest with him in his first vacation unit to learn the business. At the same time, as a realtor, he was helping clients close deals and make passive income in vacation rental properties.

It all goes to show that it doesn’t matter what your focus is. You can build anything around your interests! Jeramie was passionate about helping people find the best investment, with the best return. His business grew with the now booming vacation rental market. Melissa Bernstein On Finding Meaning In Life May 11, 2021

This week, I had the opportunity to interview Melissa Bernstein of the well-known and loved Melissa & Doug Toy Company. Melissa shares her journey to self-love and acceptance and the inspiration behind her new book, Lifelines.

Melissa and Doug started their toy company in their garage in 1988 and now have over 5,000 children’s products that have brought joy to millions of children. All 5,000 of those products were imagined and designed by Melissa herself! But financial success did not bring relief for Melissa, who has battled existential depression all her life.

After years of hiding her struggle, Melissa talks openly about her journey, the importance of being seen authentically, and how she found light through her love of nature, the verses that she writes daily and has much gratitude for, and how she realized her curse was also her blessing. She hopes in sharing her story, she can help others who are struggling alone with depression and anxiety.

What Motivates Successful Leaders? May 04, 2021

The driving force behind human action is motivation. Think about what truly motivates you. You may be motivated to lose weight, make more money, or gain more freedom. The thing is, if the motivation turns out to be a means to end, then it is not true motivation. The most impactful motivation comes from when you are living from your true and authentic self, free from ego, from which you can experience a much more powerful drive that is focused by your intentions in alignment with nature. From this place of authenticity, you can start living a bigger life than you ever thought possible.

But, it’s not easy to just let go of old drives that do not serve you or to surrender the mind’s stories we have long believed about ourselves. So this week, we talk about how to flow from a state of acceptance, joy, and enthusiasm, and why that will help us be even more productive and clear than just trying to muscle through with external motivation. An Interview With Neuroscience & Consciousness Author Chris Niebauer — No self, No Problem Apr 20, 2021

This week, I am joined by Ph.D. Chris Niebauer, author of the groundbreaking new book, No Self, No Problem: How Neuropsychology is Catching Up to Buddhism. Chris shares with me the story of how he became interested in neuroscience, psychology, and Eastern philosophy after being devastated by the loss of his father.
