Episode 145: Kevin Madsen from HeyDad Jun 12, 2019

Show notes

I didn't want to miss the chance to celebrate Father's Day in the middle of #EnneaSummer2019, so my friend Kevin Madsen, one of the HeyDad podcast hosts, stopped in the office and we did a little deep dive on dad-ing.

I'm not a dad (duh), but gosh this convo made me laugh and moved me to tears. If you love a father, you're gonna love this show.

And don't forget to grab your favorite dad a Father's Day gift and get 20% off the HeyDad subscription box when you use the code ANNIE.

And thanks to my dear friend (and one of my favorite dads) Harry for calling from Scotland right as the show was ending! :) That sounds fun to me.

EnneaSummer2019: Fours Jun 10, 2019

Show notes

Grab tissues because you KNOW these fours are going to make you tear up! Matt and Marissa (a different Marissa that the enneagram 3 obviously) join me today as we talk about life in a world where it may be true that no one really gets you and what that experience is like. To be seen and known is what our four friends are looking for, and my hope is that today you will gain new insight into this super special and very important enneagram type. Matt and Marissa are two of the best- and this show is extra cool because they are already friends! (You're gonna love what they say about each other!)

EnneaSummer2019: Threes Jun 06, 2019

Show notes

Let me lead with this: I owe threes an apology. I haven't been thoughtful about their pain and struggles because of my own experience with men in leadership who self-identified as threes. I've been working towards loving them better, but this conversation changed me. I see threes so differently now, and I'm so thankful for Marisa and Nick sitting down with me, opening their hearts and stories, and letting us see what it is really like to be a three, on your best and worst days. Thank God for threes and what they build and create and how they honor the rest of us by helping us dream and succeed.

Show notes

I am SUCH A FAN of enneagram twos (and have A LOT to learn about them as you will hear here). And I'm particularly partial to the twos I get to introduce you to today. Nate and Jenn are two of the very best humans and serve with their whole hearts. I hope this episode helps you fall in love with twos in a way that helps you help them to help well. :)

EnneaSummer2019 : Ones May 30, 2019

Show notes

Time to fall in love with the enneagram ones in our lives! Lee and Jami are here to tell us their experiences from their own point of view. I ask them all sorts of questions, fail them by not giving them the questions ahead of time, and find myself teary at the end because we are just so lucky to have enneagram ones in our lives.

EnneaSummer2019 : Suzanne Stabile May 27, 2019

Show notes

Friends. Get ready to spend the next few weeks learning about the enneagram! We kick it all off with one of my very favorite (and one of the very smartest) enneagram experts, Suzanne Stabile! This is the episode that will get you ready for the focus this whole month- answering your questions about how you start to journey toward your own number, where the enneagram came from, what we can learn from studying all the numbers (not just our own), and

https://www.theenneagramjourney.org

We'll be using #EnneaSummer2019 as our hashtag this month, so as you discover your number and dig in deeper- include the hashtag so we can learn along with you!

Episode 143: Anne Bogel + Summer Reading! May 23, 2019

Show notes

We are a people who LOVE to talk about books, so today I brought the expert in to talk to us about what we should be reading this summer. Anne Bogel, many of you know her as Modern Mrs. Darcy, talks reading and books better than any other friend I've got. Her latest book, I'd Rather Be Reading, is just one of the most fun and inspiring books I've read in a while (if you want to be inspired to open up more books). She has two book-centric podcasts of her own that I think you'll love.

I can't wait to hear what you are going to read this summer and what book clubs you have joined!

If you want to read along with me, I'm starting this summer reading The Printed Letter Bookshop by Katherine Reay.

Episode 142: Louie Giglio May 20, 2019

Show notes

Y'all I cannot tell you what an honor it was to sit down with Louie Giglio, a man who has been pastoring me through his teachings and books for twenty years. (I worked real hard to be appreciative but not "Between Two Ferns" level fandom, so forgive me if I got weird at any point.) We dive in on perseverance, leadership, influence, family, and La Croix. Obviously. :) His new book Not Forsaken: Finding Freedom as Sons & Daughters of a Perfect Father has just released and it is a powerful piece of work that I think you will love.
