**That Pedal Show – Dan & Mick TPS**

We are Dan & Mick from That Pedal Show. We want you to sound better, play more and be inspired! We believe that when it comes to guitar tones there are no answers, only better questions. Our job is to help you find those questions and explore them. We like traditional guitars, real amps and high quality stompboxes with as much analogue signal as humanly possible. Please join us in our quest for ever-improving tone!

The Rig For Your Mate Challenge: Hate Or Great? – That Pedal Show Apr 24, 2020

Show notes

We choose four pedals for each other while playing each other’s main guitar and amp. What could possibly go right?

This is the audio from our video here: https://youtu.be/DId9REw5pPk

Welcome to the show. Regular viewers will know that Dan and I both have a strong 'home' when it comes to our main guitars and amps. In Dan’s case it’s a Fender Telecaster and his Matchless C30 amp. For me it’s a Stratocaster and my Two Rock Classic Reverb Signature. People have been asking how we might fare playing each other’s main gear… so that's what we're doing. And just to make it more interesting, we also choose four pedals for one another that will hopefully challenge and inspire in equal measure. Join us as we go through the selection process and skate out on to the thin ice of each other’s gear.

This is the audio to our video here: https://youtu.be/oh6LHxrXR8E

Some people barely use their guitar’s controls all, yet they can unlock a smörgåsbord of extra sounds. We explore 12 things to try on a selection of classic-style electric guitars.

Welcome to the show! In this episode Dan and I begin to unpack the suitcase full of sounds that are just waiting to be found, right there in your guitar. Rabea Massaad Pedalboard Build 2020 – That Pedal Show Apr 03, 2020

Show notes

Welcome! In this episode we are delighted to welcome our old mucker, Rabea Massaad back to the show. Not only is Rabea genuinely among the best humans we know, he’s also a truly gifted, creative and inspirational musician. Rabea uses TheGigRig G2 at the heart of his live pedalboard for his band, Toska… but the whole board was in need of an update, rewire and refresh.

Time to get to work Dan… Rabea plays through the Toska track ‘Prayermonger’ at the end of the show. He literally stood there and played the guitar parts over a backing track. We watched totally agog!

Please check out Toska’s music: https://www.toska.tv/

COVID 19: Before you lambast us for not socially excluding, read this… This video was filmed before the UK lockdown measures. As I explain in the intro, Rabea was on his way to us when the UK government started making noises about being careful about travel around March 16/17. The actual instruction to stay at home did not come until March 23 in the UK. As of that date, we have been working from home and self-isolating in accordance with the government instruction and advice.
