High Speed Rail Lowering Quality of Life for Small Towns Apr 06, 2021

Show notes

TehachaPod dives into the High Speed Rail problems that are arising due to the HSR attitude of "we heard your concerns but we don't care". For over a year the City of Tehachapi provided documentation to HSR showing serious problems that will have severe impacts to two neighborhoods and possibly the Adventist Health Tehachapi Valley Hospital. The revised EIR documents released this year failed to address the issues pointed out to the High Speed Rail Authority and their attitude when confronted in a meeting was we have done all we are legally supposed to do. The City of Tehachapi does not believe the HSR is working in good faith with small communities in California. We dive into the conversation. Comments to the HSR should be made to (866) 300-3044 or email Bakersfield_Palmdale@HSR.Ca.Gov
