    SUMMER CLASSICS – 17 – Let’s Talk About Sex, Baby – Part 2 Jul 25, 2019
    Show notes

Originally aired October 25, 2018. In this very NSFW episode, the follow-up to last week’s very NSFW episode, we talk about non-monogamy, “sexy time” management, swingers clubs, working through sexual trauma, butt plugs and more (!) with sexpert Casey Easton of Erotic Embodiment. We uncover a lot, and by “uncover,” I mean do a filthy strip-tease. The bulk of this was recorded with a handheld recorder, so the sound isn’t up to snuff, but we hope you’ll forgive us, since this is such a f*cking good episode. Love you, Tigers! You can find Casey at www.eroticembodiment.ca or www.caseyeaston.com. Sarah and Melody are at the usual places. Also, friends: we are on Patreon! We’d deeply appreciate it if you could support us for as little as $1/month. Check out www.patreon.com/teachmetigerpodcast. Thank you so much!

    SUMMER CLASSICS – 17 – Let’s Talk About Sex, Baby – Part 1 Jul 18, 2019
    Show notes

Originally aired October 18, 2018. We had the good fortune of sitting down with sex educator and amazing superwoman Casey Easton of Erotic Embodiment for this titillating episode. In Part One, Casey gives her top five Just The Tips for better sexual health and pleasure, and you won’t believe the wealth of knowledge she shares with us. This is seriously like a TED Talk on intimacy, sex, relationships and body positivity. Ugh, it is just SO GOOD! You will not want to miss it. We should all hear it, and our partners should all hear it too. Tune back in, in a week for even more, when we bring you Part Two. You can find Casey at www.eroticembodiment.ca or www.caseyeaston.com. Also, friends: we are on Patreon! We’d deeply appreciate it if you could support us for as little as $1/month. Check out www.patreon.com/teachmetigerpodcast. Thank you!

    35 – Brain Fart (Neuroscience w/ Alicia Peltsch) Jul 04, 2019
    Show notes

Deep dive into the sensual folds of the brain with Alicia Peltsch and her sexy neuroscience PhD. She helps unpack the science of zombies, gives us her opinion on farts, discusses brain injuries in contact sports, explains how she accidentally named her kid after Number One, tells us her favourite brain disorder, teaches us about Alzheimers, and finally puts to rest the age-old debate: which is better, alcohol or pot? And more! So much more! You can support the podcast at patreon.com/teachmetigerpodcast, or by spreading the word, and leaving great reviews, and all of that fun stuff! Find Liz on Instagram @lizzouse or at lizzography.com and Melody is, as always, over at melodystarkweather.ca, her internet lair.

33 – Sportsing For Dummies (Sports w/ Nikki Rochon Kaiser) Jun 06, 2019
    Show notes

This week, your intrepid hosts Melody and Liz (sports dummies) get a little Sportsing 101 from guest Nikki Rochon Kaiser (sports enthusiasm expert.) Coral Sproule (snackspert) and her amazing soft pretzels stop by to chat stadium snacks, and we all enjoy a little (a lot of) delicious cold beer courtesy of Longslice Brewery. In this sometimes anthropological look at sports and sports fans, we cover all the bases (see what we did there?) including but not limited to: pizza toppings, team allegiance, crying in baseball, the Toronto Raptors, the Legend of Dock Ellis and a first-hand account of Jose Bautista's infamous 2015 bat flip. EDIT: When Nikki was talking about Kevin Pillar being Canadian, she was thinking of Michael Saunders. Whoops! (Thank you, Longslice!) Thanks the Aviary and Longslice, for the brew. Find them on instagram @longslice or at longslice.com. You can find The Aviary Brew Pub @aviarybrewpub or aviarybrewpub.com, The Dock Ellis at dockellis.com or @thedockellis and The Emmet Ray at theemmetray.com or @theemmetray. Liz is @lizzouse on Instagram. Melody is at melodystarkweather.ca. Show notes

WHAT IN THE HELL IS BITCOIN? Great question! Melody's main man Stan - errr, Chris Chambers, actually - gives us an overview and lesson on the ever-mystifying world of crypto-currencies. What is a digital currency? What's a blockchain? How does one get into crypto-trading? WILL BITCOIN MAKE MELODY AND CHRIS RICH AND WILL MELODY FINALLY GET HER KITCHEN RENOVATION?? We also dapple in other topics, like Star Trek economics, the Dark Web, Liz's mom Mary and the Greenland Shark. You can find Chris doing fish stuff at ottawaaquariums.ca and plant stuff at Brooke Valley Produce on Facebook and Instagram. Liz is at lizzography.com and @lizzouse on Insta. 31 – Absence Makes The Art Grow Fonder (Art Practise w/ Melody Starkweather, Sarah Wright & Liz Cooper) May 09, 2019
    Show notes

This episode is bittersweet like dark chocolate and HOT HOT HOT like a ghost pepper. In Episode 31, we introduce Liz Cooper, your new best friend and our new co-host (eeee!!!) as Sarah drops her the mic and heads off to a party and illustrious career with Just The Tip Handpoke Tattooing (weee!!) But don't worry, she's only across the street and will still pop in to say hi ALL THE TIME! You'll be sick of her, we promise! In Absence Makes The Art Grow Fonder, we get to know all about Liz, Sarah and Melody - photographer, tattooist and painter. We learn of their experience as working artists - how they make it work, how they keep it fun, who inspires them, and how they even manage to bring some money in once in a while. Sometimes. Maybe. If they're lucky. You can find Liz at instagram.com/lizzouse or lizzography.com. Sarah is at justthetiphandpoketattoos on Instagram, and Melody is at melodystarkweather.ca. 30 – Call The Midwife (Midwifery w/ Josée Nolet & Rebecca Raper) Apr 25, 2019
    Show notes

It's DIRTY THIRTY! In this thirtieth episode, we sit down with some of our midwife pals, Josée Nolet and Becca Raper of Generations Midwifery (Brockville, ON). Both of these lovely ladies took care of Sarah through her pregnancy and the birth of her youngest son. We talk about cool scars, birth stories, midwives vs. obstetricians, and some of the peaks and pits of being a midwife (spoiler: watching women empowered in their bodies and regularly experiencing the miracle of life trumps all the bad stuff.) Also, Sarah and Melody compare transition in childbirth to doing hard drugs. But DON'T DO PCP! Especially not while you're in labour! There was sadly a technical issue with Josée's mic, and we've done our best and fanciest footwork to fix it, but please accept our apologies for her audio not being up to snuff. To find the Marvellous Midwives, check out their practise group Generations Midwifery Care at generationsmidwifery.ca or facebook.com/generationsmidwifery You can find Sarah at instagram.com/justthetiphandpoketattoos and Melody at melodystarkweather.ca

We chat with the lovely Erin Richan of Highland Gem Farm and hit super HOT TOPICS such as Becoming A Farmer, Enjoying Good Food On A Budget, What Plants To Be Starting This Spring and Food Security vs. Food Sovereignty. We also explore the age-old debate of "which superpower is better - invisibility or flying?" And Sarah is ovulating! You can find Erin and Highland Gem Farm at highlandgemfarm.ca or @highland.gem.farm on Instagram and Facebook. You can find Sarah on Instagram @justthetiphandpoketattoos and Melody at melodystarkweather.ca If you would like to support the show, please subscribe, rate and review where you get your pods, or visit us at patreon.com/teachmetigerpodcast.
