Want to See TAXI Music’s CEO CRY?! A Fond Farewell to Briagha on Staff... Jun 20, 2020
    Show notes

On this episode of TAXI TV, we ask if you want to see TAXI Music's CEO cry!! Join us as we bid a fond farewell to a beloved staff member! We first met Briagha McTavish when she was a teenager, who along with her dad (Neil McTavish), would come to the TAXI Road Rally to hone her skills as a singer/songwriter. We looked forward to seeing her each year, and got to know her as one of our very favorite members and TAXI Road Rally volunteers. When she graduated from high school, Briagha called TAXI to let us know she was moving to Los Angeles, and asked if we had any job openings. As it turned out, we had a temp job making outbound reminder calls to members about the upcoming Rally Music Convention. Briagha hit it out of the park, and we offered her a full-time job. She’s been an integral and highly-valued part of the staff for about four years, and we’ve watched her grow up right under our noses. It’s bittersweet that Monday will be Briagha’s last “official” day at TAXI, because she’s decided she loves her fiancĂ© Jacob more than us. We’re really happy for the two of them, but sad to see Briagha move back to the Midwest! Please join us as we roast her and toast her on this week’s TAXI TV. Instead of kicking me under the desk (she has been the producer of many, many TAXI TV episodes), she’ll be joining me on camera :-) If you’ve got any Briagha stories about how she helped you when she was our member services superstar, or working hard at the Road Rally, please join us as we bid this lovely young lady a fond farewell! Win a FREE Book! Don't forget to leave a comment under the video on YouTube! This episode was so jam-packed that we had to break it up into two parts! This is Part 2! Mystery MUSIC SUPERVISOR Tells All May 19, 2020
    Show notes

Watch This Episode on YouTube: https://youtu.be/eSMD51-RjtI One of the very best Music Supervisors I know will be my guest on this episode! Why all the mystery? Why am I going to keep him under wraps? Because this guy is a close friend of mine, and I don't want people to google him and bombard him with emails asking, "Can I send you my music?" Yep, not all the people who will see this power-packed episode are polite TAXI members who know what proper industry etiquette is. But, don't worry! Your head will probably explode from all the great advice you're going to get from this gentleman - see, there's a clue ;-) My Mystery Man is much more than just a "music picker," he's a real-deal, full-package Music Supe who knows music, the psychology of working with directors and producers on feature films, TV shows, documentaries, and indie films, alike! He's an expert on publishing, meta-tagging, producing, mixing, editing, and virtually everything a full-stack Music Supervisor should know. Bring a note pad for this episode, seriously! You're going to get a few semesters' worth of critically important information you might never get anywhere else. And if you figure out who my guest is, please respect his privacy and don't blurt out his name in the chat room! I want him to remain my friend and not feel hesitant about coming back on the show for future episodes! Thank you!! Win a FREE Book! Don't forget to leave a comment under the video on YouTube!
