Episode 27 - Ryan "Tuck" O'Leary (Fit For A King & Off Road Minivan) Nov 11, 2019

Show notes

Welcome to the first episode of SEASON 2 of "Talkin' with Andrew and Chris"! We are back with another very special episode, today's guest is Ryan “Tuck” O’Leary. Ryan is an all around good dude as well as members of both the bands “Off Road Minivan” & “Fit For A King”. FIT FOR A KING use the tools of heavy music and melodic hooks to honestly explore the dark side of the human experience, ultimately wrenching timeless hope from the jaws of anxiety, depression, and seemingly certain despair. No matter the pristine picture of self-worth we project, in the unquenchable pursuit of recognition and affirmation, the gnawing anxiousness of guilt and brokenness chews away at our spirits, uncovering new pain and vulnerability. Dark Skies is FIT FOR A KING’s evocative declaration of a hard won victory. “This album is far from happy. It’s about personal struggles,” explains singer Ryan Kirby. “It touches on many subjects relevant to all of our daily lives.” Keep up to date with Fit For A King: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/fitforakingband Twitter: https://twitter.com/fitforaking Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/fitforakingtx/ Listen to Walkney: Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/0OgdRTPItr9dw4XYp4JJUx Apple Music: https://music.apple.com/us/artist/fit-for-a-king/279581764 YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/user/solidstaterecords Keep up to date with Andrew and Chris: Instagram: Andrew: www.instagram.com/not_awgyomai/ Chris: www.instagram.com/christianevanko/ Twitter: Andrew: twitter.com/awgyomai Chris: twitter.com/ChristianEvanko Follow Andrew and Chris's band "The Stash": smarturl.it/fgtnwr Listen to Andrew and Chris's band "The Stash": smarturl.it/fgtnwr Subscribe to "Talkin' with Andrew and Chris" Podcast: Apple | Spotify | Google Play | YouTube | SoundCloud As always, "Stay Sweet!"

Episode 24 - Jolie Lindholm (The Darling Fire) Jul 29, 2019

Show notes

Welcome to the 24th episode of "Talkin' with Andrew and Chris"! We are back with another very special episode, today's guest is Jolie Lindholm, of Alt Rock/Emo band "The Darling Fire"! Spartan Records proudly welcomes The Darling Fire to its esteemed and growing roster — a veritable mosaic of indie notoriety featuring Jolie Lindholm (The Rocking Horse Winner, Dashboard Confessional) on vocals/guitar, Jeronimo Gomez on guitar (Poison The Well, The Rocking Horse Winner, As Friends Rust), Steven Kleisath on drums (Further Seems Forever, Shai Hulud, Useless Things, Strongarm), Gregg More on bass (No Fraud, Slap of Reality, Pull) and Matthew Short on guitar (Jasperwal, D_Composure, Rival Science). After years of individual success in some of the scene's most beloved bands, The Darling Fire was born of both deep struggle and deeper friendships. "Jeronimo and I had a particularly difficult end of the year in 2017," says vocalist/guitarist Jolie Lindholm. "We’d been wanting to write music together for awhile, but life kept getting in the way. The tough time we were having made us realize that life is short and there was no better time. We didn't specifically set out to start a band, per se. It just began to materialize as things started changing, once we started to share what we were working on. It almost took on a life of its own and kept pushing us to move forward, to make this into a real thing." Episode 20 - Brooks Paschal (Suprises) Jul 02, 2019

Show notes

Welcome to the 20th episode of "Talkin' with Andrew and Chris"! We are back with another very special episode, today's guest is Brooks Paschal, of the Rock band "Suprises"! After releasing three successful LP’s with the fan-adored band Sullivan and dozens of solo tracks over the past ten years, songs seem to emanate from all levels of Brooks Paschal's consciousness. However, Paschal’s new project Surprises is something different. It is cathartic, it is reckless, and it is personal — a striking new narrative from a familiar voice. Natural Disaster is a concentrated amalgamation of all the driving, melodic, soaring, and fragile moments that made Paschal’s previous work so appealing, but with instincts driving all direction, we're thrust into a new and unchartered creative territory. Debut full-length album "Natural Disaster" out now on Spartan Records. http://smarturl.it/natural-disaster Keep up to date with Suprises: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/weneedsurprises/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/surprisesband Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/brookspaschal/ Listen to Suprises: Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/6lHsocBkvDpUAt25KL4nAl Apple Music: https://music.apple.com/us/album/natural-disaster/1467267869 YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/user/spartanrecordsmusic Keep up to date with Andrew and Chris: Instagram: Andrew: www.instagram.com/not_awgyomai/ Chris: www.instagram.com/christianevanko/ Twitter: Andrew: twitter.com/awgyomai Chris: twitter.com/ChristianEvanko Follow Andrew and Chris's band "The Stash": smarturl.it/fgtnwr Listen to Andrew and Chris's band "The Stash": smarturl.it/fgtnwr Subscribe to "Talkin' with Andrew and Chris" Podcast: Apple | Spotify | Google Play | YouTube | SoundCloud As always, "Stay Sweet!"
