    Jake “The Snake” Roberts returns to give a detailed look at his time wrestling AAA in Mexico! He talks about the crazy fans and the stuff they used to throw at the wrestlers in the ring including full cans of beer, piss-filled bottles, and the food they were eating! He remembers working with Konnan and The Sensational Sherri Martel, the riots that started at the TV station after his promos would air, and the lengths they’d have to go to in order to safely exit the arenas after shows. You’ll hear the story of his infamous hair vs hair match, the one 6-man match he had with Eddie Guerrero, and how Jake used get his paydays out of Mexico and back to the states! He tells even more tales about living and traveling with the snakes, what it was like to film those snake vignettes with Ultimate Warrior, and how Jake ended up being the setup man for Hulk Hogan. Plus, Jake makes the case as to why he’s the real inventor of the DDT!

    Bob Mould is a critically-acclaimed musician and founding frontman of indie rock band, Husker Du, and also served on the WCW creative team in the late 90s! Bob is a life-long wrestling fan who befriended legendary promoter Jim Barnett, and ultimately got offered a job at WCW. Bob shares some great stories about pitching ideas to Hulk Hogan, working with Kevin Nash, Dusty Rhodes, Kevin Sullivan, Vampiro, and what happened when Vince Russo and Ed Ferrara came to WCW. He talks about the guys he thought should have made it, the ones he tried hard to help, and what he thinks led to the demise of WCW.     Nitro was a short-lived, over-the-top metal band from Hollywood, California fronted by singer Jim Gillette and guitarist Michael Angelo Batio. They formed in 1988 and broke up in 1993, but in that five years they managed to release two albums – 1989’s “O.F.R.” and 1992’s “Nitro II: Hot, Wet, Drippin’ With Sweat.” And those are the albums being put to the test in the Classic Album Clash! Andy, Nick, and the mysterious Chris L. from the “Pod of Thunder” podcast return to share Nitro stories, trivia, production notes, and a do a detailed deep-dive track-by-track breakdown as they pit the two albums against each other to determine a best and favorite!

    GFM is a vibe, and that’s why they’re one of the bands opening for Fozzy on the current “Save The World Tour.” GFM, which stands for Gold Frankincense & Myrrh, are the English sisters, and they’ve been playing since grade school! 21-year-old singer/bassist Maggie, 20-year-old guitarist CJ, and 18-year-old drummer Lulu! Their parents introduced them to music and instruments almost as soon as they could walk and talk, and encouraged them to play and start a band. The girls talk about their love of metal and hard rock, the role that faith has played in their music and career, how their parents taught them about songwriting, performing and the logistics of touring, and what inspired the cheerleading uniforms they wear onstage. Their energy is off the charts, their enthusiasm is crazy infectious, their story is unbelievable, and their music kicks ass!

    “Woody Farmer’s Bay Area Wresting” is a new documentary available on YouTube, and it tells the true story about a little wrestling school turned promotion based in Newark, California, which is just East of San Francisco, run by Woody Farmer. Woody secured a TV deal for Bay Area Wrestling almost before he had a true promotion up and running, and taped the shows in a tiny studio at the TV station. He soon landed a network deal with The Sports Channel, and had talent like Mae Young, Mike Lockwood (aka Crash Holly), Radical Robbie Lee, and a young Chris Jericho wrestling matches in his tiny studio! Documentary filmmakers Paul Ponte and Jesus Cruz, along with the voice of Bay Area Wrestling, Pat Kelly, and wrestler Shane Kody (who is also Woody Farmer’s son), discuss Bay Area Wrestling from its formation to landing their TV deal to Chris Jericho’s three-match run, and what came after! They recount some of their favorite performers and matches, remember the unique personalities, and share some of the hilarious moments both in front of and behind the camera.


    How To Escape A Religious Cult - by Lola Blanc Mar 25, 2022

    Actress, singer & “Trust Me: Cults, Extreme Belief, and the Abuse Of Power” podcast host, Lola Blanc, was only 12-years old when she and her mom unknowingly joined a religious cult run by a man who claimed to be the new LDS (Church Of Latter-day Saints) Prophet. He split them up, and sex trafficked her mom all in the name of God. Lola recounts the story of how her mom met this self-proclaimed Prophet and fell under his spell, why he separated Lola from her mom, and how they eventually were able to escape. She talks about the harrowing experiences they both faced, especially her mom, how they were able to pick up the pieces and heal despite the ordeal, and why their former cult leader is still leading his cult to this day.
