What's bonkin' everybody? Welcome to Take Your Time, a podcast by Jonathon Dornbush and Tom Marks where the duo will be playing Persona 5 Royal in real time, playing along with P5R's in-game calendar. Join Tom and Jonathon for episode 50 as we dive into the week of March 14 - 20 (but also double back to March 13) in the world of P5R, as we finish up our Persona 5 Royal playthrough! The bittersweet end is here, but we've got a lot to talk about.
As our Persona 5 Royal playthrough continues, and reaches its conclusion, Jonathon and Tom first take some time to discuss what our plans for the show are now that we've wrapped up P5R. And, slight spoilers, we're going on a bit of a break! With a few big life things coming up, we're going to take some time off after this first season of TYT, but it's by no means the end of the show! No, instead, we'll be starting up Persona 5 Strikers this July! Stay tuned to the channel, and our Twitter profiles, for more details, but much like the Phantom Thieves, we'll be back soon enough. (Except this time, you will see it coming.)
But before we get to what's to come, we reflect on Persona 5 Royal's ending, jumping into the events of the last week of Persona 5 Royal, as well as a day of events we forgot to cover last week! (Hey, it took 50 episodes to make a mistake like that.) We dig into Joker's romantic plans, or lack thereof, for White Day, Sojiro's smooth assistance, and what this nice slice of normalcy is like for the P5 lead before the conclusion.
Then, we jump into Royal's final couple of days, saying goodbye to the wider Persona 5 cast, both big and small, diving into where the story leaves them, and reflecting on Joker's final moments with the wider P5 ensemble. Then, we discuss the shocking final scenes of P5R, including Persona 5 Royal's brand new animated outro, as well as P5R's new post-credits scene, what it might mean for the story, and so much more. Plus, our Persona 5 podcast offers another Pop Quiz question, answers listener questions, and a lot more.
Thank you so much to all of our listeners and viewers who have been with us on this incredible journey. Whether you started listening day one or just yesterday, or are checking this show out long after it's been recorded, we're so moved by your support for this show that started as a silly little project between two friends. We've discovered a wonderful, supportive community of Persona fans, and we're so grateful for your support since the show began. We can't wait for what the future holds, and we're excited to return, but in the mean time, be sure to write in with your thoughts to dornology@gmail.com, or tweet at Jonathon (@jmdornbush) and Tom (@tomrmarks). And as always, nice to steal ya.
