Anders Holm aka “Ders” finally completes the collection of Workaholics On TYSO!

Anders immediately questions why his original episode with Rick was shelved and worries if this one will ever see the light of day… They discuss their worries about getting old, arthritis and Ders show us his lovely bumps.

The two get into a DEEP discussion about “Big Toilet” and how the corporation of toilet makers is against us all. The toilet chat highjacks a large portion of the entire episode and Rick gets a well known manufacturer of one of the biggest of Big Toilet…Kohler on the phone to ask some hard hitting questions.

We get to anxiously watch Rick play the Phone-Mute Game that he invented/mastered and he and Anders argue over whether or not Rick is really holding them accountable and why he should have pressed “0”.

Anders teaches us all how to write a TV script (with examples), Rick retells the story of Mom Pooping on Betty’s Rug, and enquires about big celebrities who follow the Workaholics star but who he refuses to follow back. Der’s interrogates our host about some never-to-be-released episodes in the vault at TYSO, and why Der’s former episode sit’s among them.

This episode is all about stand up, audience connection, and documenting their career origins… also its about Ali getting jizzed, pooped and peed on like a pro by our resident Goblin.

While exceeding our animation budget, the two managed to discuss why Ali looks up to Rick, what its like starting stand up at 18, and being an audience member for each other.

They start to dissect comedy math like only Rick and his guests can do when Ali questions if her “low energy” personality is in fact her Unique Selling Point.
Ali wonders if she’s bombing on the episode because Rick’s too quick and she feels like she can’t keep up. Cut to snapping goblin poop all over her as Rick's Kiva chocolate really kicks in.

The two podcasters swap discord insights, Patreon experiences, and they lament the difficulties of booking guests. Rick discusses coming back to the stage after such a long hiatus and why it scares him. While Ali documents her fast track career which see’s her now opening for Russel Peters and Joe Rogan. Ali also unpacks why wearing make up and looking good onstage isn’t always a recipe for success.

The Magic Mike star comes brandishing his rescue chihuahua, Bubbles, and gets acquainted with Rick and the Shoe’s Off podcast universe.

The two bond over a deep childhood love of Arnold Schwarzenegger and superheroes. They discuss Joe’s game of choice, Dungeons & Dragons, and what it was like for both of them at school to have such fringe “nerd” interests (go check out Ricks episode with Magic The Gathering expert The Professor).

They discuss Joe’s successful high school athletic career and Joe speaks on “Type Casting” which is why he’ll never play Stephen Hawking. They debate relationship stereotypes and Rick tells why he doesn’t want to feel obligated to kiss on a first date or open the car door for his love interests. Meanwhile, Joe discusses his romantic instincts and how he prepared for his last first kiss.

They dive into a very considerate conversation that gets Rick a little emotional and Joe champions our hosts eccentricities.

They discus being "chivalrous" men, defending women (kinda), and natural instincts. Dax investigates why Rick didn’t attempt to protect Kristen Bell on the 100th episode debacle, and Rick tries to defend his natural instincts to not get in physical confrontation unless it's worth it.

Having a podcast allows us to showcase some incredible people, and this week is no different... This week's guest isn’t our typical comedian/entertainer, but he is THE PROFESSOR!… Of Tolarian Community College, which isn’t so much a college and actually a #1 Magic The Gathering Youtube channel!

If you aren't too familiar with Magic The Gathering, it doesn't matter because this episode is about so much more than just a trading card game (that being said, during this episode, Rick DOES open a package that contains a very rare, early 90's booster box).

Immediately The professor (aka Brian Lewis) and Rick bond over similar anxieties and being uncomfortable in the world outside their safety net.

Brian recounts his friendless childhood, barking like a dog at school, and being likened to Forest Gump as a teen. Rick connects to Brian's inability to find his tribe and finds a through line in his own life with finding comedy.

Now running a successful YouTube with hundreds of thousands of subscribers and a lucrative patron, Brian insists that “The Gathering” remains the most important part of playing the game.

Rick unpacks Brian's career from Teachers assistant to successful YouTuber, his opinions on collectables and how Magic The Gathering ’s rules make it easier to navigate than this complicated world.

This is the episode for anyone who didn’t fit in at school or is still looking for their community… he goes to show that everyone can find their people and become VERY successful in doing so.

Rick came ready to dive into a scripted scene (thanks to successful Hollywood writer Jon DeWalt). Oh and it features a little cameo from Lamorne Morris!!

Rick addresses the pimple no one can see but he’s uncomfortable with not acknowledging it (but don't worry, it'll make a huge appearance next week). They start to unpack interesting topics, like when its appropriate to improvise in an audition, Max being impressed by Rick's Marc Maron appearance, and how they both think they make great podcast guests but horrible hosts.
