It's A Blue Christmas For The Commanders: Instant Reactions To The Loss Dec 25, 2022

The Washington Commanders fall to the San Francisco 49er's Christmas Eve 37-20. Logan and Craig give their immediate reactions towards the game and what went wrong. Logan says that the game was closer than the score shows due to short fields and turnovers, the score was the second-highest point total scored against the Commanders all season. Craig points out that Scott Turner seems to have issues mixing his play call and seems to call plays with his head down.

Previewing The Commanders Christmas Eve Matchup With San Francisco Dec 23, 2022

Commanders are up against the San Francisco 49ers It’s time to preview the final Logan Paulsen bowl of the season.

Craig and Logan start out the pod by talking about Kyle Shanahan and attempting to explain what makes him such a good offensive coordinator. Logan gives some insight from his years of playing in Kyle’s offenses both in DC and in San Francisco. The overall impression is that Kyle gets how offenses and defenses operate and lives for football.

Next, the guys do their scouting for San Francisco. While the 49ers had a decent start to the season offensively, Once Christian McCaffrey joined the squad this has become next level. Logan goes in depth as to what McCaffery brings as a matchup. Craig says that if the 49ers are still trying to win, Christian will get at least 25 touches. Logan also says that we need to be wary of the San Fran defense as it is “dynamic as heck” and Craig points out that we need to play our style of football from the start.

The guys react to the breaking news that Chase Young will play this week. Taylor Heinicke and the Commanders came out with a different gameplan on Sunday night. It didn't work. Craig and Logan break down the first half failure and how Scott Turner needs to stick to Washington's identity under Ron Rivera to win games in 2022.

The guys then talk about the issues scoring in the red zone. What can the Commanders do to finally get touchdowns inside the 20 yard line, and are they actually close with the plan they have?
