92 - Taylor Swift's Grammy Week + Giveaway Winner Announcement - Swiftcast: The #1 Taylor Swift Podc Feb 04, 2015
    Show notes

This episode is a mini episode that does not include a main discussion because we just released a special bonus episode featuring our friends from the I Heard That Was Good Podcast. Be sure to listen to the bonus episode because we discuss Grammy predictions! Sadly, Taylor announced that she will not be performing at the Grammys because she is incredibly busy getting ready for the 1989 World Tour. Swift History: This week in 2009, Taylor was watching Bruce Springsteen deliver an amazing performance at the Super Bowl and rehearsing for her performance of "Fifteen" at the Grammys! At the year's Super Bowl, Katy Perry did not include any digs at Taylor in her performance, but she did feature some incredible sharks! Taylor's name was included in a commercial for Saturday Night Live's 40th Anniversary Episode, which will air on February 15th at 8 pm on NBC! We cannot wait to see what she has in store for us on SNL! Taylor is trademarking several phrases from 1989, including "Could Show You Incredible Things," "Party Like It's 1989," "Nice to Meet You. Where You Been?," "This Sick Beat," and "Cause We Never Go Out of Style." #SwiftieProblems: When you're gonna listen to one Taylor song before bed, but then it turns into ten songs! - via @ShadesOfTayGrey on Twitter On this week's fashion segment, we talk about where to find some older items of Taylor's that have just been located, along with some items that she wore while she was in Maui. Thanks to TaySwiftStyle.com for tracking them down! Be sure to tune in next week, when we'll discuss Ashley's experience attending the Grammys! We'd love to hear what you thought of this episode. 89 - Style is Taylor Swift's next single from 1989 + New Giveaway - Swiftcast: The #1 Taylor Swift P Jan 21, 2015
    Show notes

Welcome to our very exciting episode 89, which is, of course, a very significant number for us! We just launched a giveaway at twitter.com/swiftcast13 where you can win some awesome RED and 1989 merch. You have until January 31 to enter, so go do that if you haven’t! Throwback: we discuss some of Taylor’s old tweets from January 2009 including “So.... We announced the tour dates TODAY!” That was of course about the Fearless tour. Prepare to tear up. This week, 1989 will go QUADRUPLE platinum! Taylor will have accomplished this feat in just 12 weeks! The last time an album went quadruple platinum in 12 weeks was Usher’s Confessions in 2004, over ten years ago! We can’t wait to get our hands on the new spring Keds, which look very similar to Taylor’s watercolor paintings of flowers. Set your DVRs for February 8 for the Grammys, where Taylor is nominated for three awards and will perform. Also set them for February 25 for the Brit Awards, where Taylor is nominated for International Female Solo Artist and will perform. #SwiftieProblems: I just want to cook all day and be best friends with @taylorswift13 - via @TaraRushmer On this week’s fashion segment, we cover Taylor’s recent trends in LA and NYC. Thanks to TaySwiftStyle.com for tracking Taylor’s items down! For our main discussion, we discuss Style, which has officially been confirmed as Taylor’s next single! Although it will not be released to radio until February 10, it is already in the Top 40 because radio stations have already started to play it. We analyze the song’s lyrics, give our predictions for the music video and tour performance, and discuss much more! We’d love to hear what you thought of this episode. Leave us a review on iTunes along with a 5-star rating! Thanks for listening!
