An impromptu prompt leads to a rare example of an episode whose title actually reflects its content!
Buckle in for tales of fairies and their snacks, perhaps too much history/science/folklore, and also a very important rat. It’s food time on this week’s Superduperstitious!

It’s an episode about darkness! Just, like, the general concept of it. But also stuff IN it!

What’s that sound? I mean, other than the whole “podcast” thing? Oh ho, it’s yet another episode ABOUT sounds!
Jake ventures into the Arkansas/Missouri woods in search of the Ozark Howler. Is it a monster? Is it animals? Yes! Wyatt then revisits New York for some Upstate acoustic oddities that are almost certainly better than a pair of cans on a string. ALMOST CERTAINLY.
Grab a whole bottle of wine and whisper something in the vague direction of Boston or Chicago, because it’s Superduperstitious time!

The saga continues, as your intrepid hosts continue not to venture outside of the American northeast!
Wyatt begins with the land of his alma mater, New York, to examine the Legend of Sleepy Hollow, and the legends that made that legend so legendary. Jake then heads very slightly north to Vermont for some swine-themed terror. What was (or IS) the Pigman of Northfield, and can it be an urban legend if it is neither urban nor legend? Discuss!

Could these animals talk? Or was each one just another dumb ol’ Clever Hans? In any case, rest assured that both Alex the parrot and Koko the gorilla were every bit as cute as you might have thought.
But not Clever Hans. Man, f*** that guy.

It’s Hallow-friggin-ween again, the time of year when dear friends and podcast cohosts gather around way too late at night, make several beeswax candles from scratch, try to read by said candles’ light, and generally just get real tired on mic. You know, the universal tradition!

Fantastical exploits of the 19th century lead the boys on a slog through what can be best described as “ultraviolet prose”. And an unintentional amount of bat people!
Wyatt tackles the sluggish flotsam of a fully unabridged article from The Wilson World in 1895 to get to the bottom of a weird skeleton situation. Then Jake forsakes the shackles of his sublunary life for some extremely heavily abridged adventures on the dang ol’ moon!
That’s enough words for now. There were so many – TOO many – in those goddamned articles… Anyway, enjoy the show!
