Suffer Better: How to Raise Your Pain Tolerance and Develop Your Resilience for Training and Life Jul 14, 2021
    Show notes

SHR # 2737:: Suffer Better: How to Raise Your Pain Tolerance and Develop Your Resilience for Training and Life - Jack Yee - One of the best predictors of success is your ability to withstand discomfort, yet most people possess a threshold for painful challenges is embarrassingly low. They have a hard time dealing with emotional and physical pain such as rejection, frustration, or even a hard workout. Instead of pushing themselves past the pain, they give up and often fall short of reaching their most ambitious goals. Having a low tolerance for pain will hold you back in life and in your training. It makes you more likely to constantly quit, preventing you from building the physique you want. This pattern of being overly soft is prevalent in our society and has worsened since the COVID pandemic started. If your threshold for pain continues to weaken, you will become vulnerable to falling apart. Read the book here https://shrnetwork.biz/suffer-better

    Toxic Legacy Jul 09, 2021

SHR # 2734:: Toxic Legacy - Dr. Stephanie Seneff, Ph.D. - No single person has spent more time warning the world about the dangers of glyphosate (Roundup). She was an early warning system who was summarily attacked and discredited by Monsanto when she first came on the scene warning of the dangers to human health. Mysterious forms of cancer, Autism, Parkinson's disease, amyloidosis leading to heart failure, and more have now been linked to the exposure of glyphosate. A decade later all of her concerns have been realized. Monsanto has single handedly dealt a destructive blow to our planet and future generations. Even if you don't use Roundup on your lawn, your neighbors do. And much of your produce is slathered in it so you're eating it too. And you and your family are being exposed. Brain Cancer: Beating The Odds Jul 06, 2021
    Show notes

SHR # 2732:: Pablo Isaiah Kelly - Brain cancer strikes over 25,000 people a year just in the USA. It's the tenth leading cause of death here in America, with only 36% of patents surviving past 5 years after diagnosis. Last week I talked with Dr. Thomas Syefried about a study showing an 80 month follow-up on a man who, by using non-traditional methods, is still alive 80 months after his diagnosis of an aggressive glioblastoma. That man turned out to be a guest I interviewed back in 2016. I sit down with Pablo Isaiah Kelly now 5 years later to drill down on what exactly has worked for him and what hasn't.

New Study: Ketogenic Diet Without Chemo or Radiation for Control of Mutant Glioblastoma Jul 01, 2021
    Show notes

SHR # 2731:: New Study: Ketogenic Diet Without Chemo or Radiation for Control of Mutant Glioblastoma - Prof. Thomas Seyfried, Ph.D. - Successful treatment of glioblastoma (GBM) remains futile despite decades of intense research. GBM is similar to most other malignant cancers in requiring glucose and glutamine for growth, regardless of histological or genetic heterogeneity. Ketogenic metabolic therapy (KMT) is a non-toxic nutritional intervention for cancer management. We report the case of a 32-year-old man who presented in 2014 with seizures and a right frontal lobe tumor on MRI. The long-term survival of this patient, now at 80 months, could be due in part to a therapeutic metabolic synergy between KMT and the IDH1 mutation that simultaneously target the glycolysis and glutaminolysis pathways that are essential for GBM growth. Exogenous Ketones and Insulin Resistance Jun 17, 2021
    Show notes

SHR # 2726:: Exogenous Ketones and Insulin Resistance - Dr. Dominic D'Agostino, Ph.D. - The number 1 killer of Americans is Type 2 Diabetes. Heart disease, cancer, kidney disease, high blood pressure, dementia and many more are just the results of Type 2 Diabetes. Insulin resistance is the cause of Type 2 Diabetes. When you love with elevated insulin for a long period of time you develop Type 2 Diabetes. Low to moderate levels of ketones seem to have the ability to suppress insulin response. Would exogenous ketone supplements have the ability to rescue someone from developing full-on Type 2 Diabetes? Can they also be used to help reverse Type 2 Diabetes? And if so, how should they be used?
