    Sully Baseball

Love baseball? Need a daily fix of talking baseball? Comedian and TV producer Paul Francis Sullivan (call him Sully) posts an original podcast every single day, 365 days a year unless it is a leap year and then he is going to do another one. Throughout the season, playoffs and off season, Sully makes his observations, voices his opinions and brings on guests like former major league players and writers and actors, including Joe Mantegna. Agree with him or not, there is always thoughtful, funny and passionate baseball talk every single day since October 24, 2012. Sully has been a producer on TV shows such as The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and Ax Men and has appeared on ESPN2 and HBO Sports to talk baseball.

Talking Braves stadium and Angels team that should have won - April 20, 2017 Apr 20, 2017
    Show notes

The Braves new stadium seems nice but kind of what they already had. Meanwhile I discuss the Angels team that should have won.

    The First Weekly Show - April 6, 2017 Apr 06, 2017
    Show notes

In the first edition of the new weekly version of the podcast, I reminded us how important the early games of the season can be. Plus in the Teams That Should Have Won segment, I honor the 2011 Phillies, who should have made history. Instead they fell in a heap. It may not be daily anymore, but it still feels good to float down the River Sully

    Ep. 1622 - The Final Daily Episode - 4 - 2-2017 Apr 02, 2017
    Show notes

Well... that's a wrap. I started this podcast on October 24, 2012 and I have posted an episode every single day since. Today's will be the last of the streak. Before I turn the podcast from a daily to a weekly show, I wanted to pause and appreciate the fun I had these last 4 1/2 years.

    Ep. 1621 - TEAMS THAT SHOULD HAVE WON - New York Mets Edition - 4 - 1-2017 Apr 01, 2017
    Show notes

In the latest installment of The Teams That Should Have Won, I look at a franchise that has had a lot of near misses. The Mets have lost some heart breakers and some big time stars came and went without a ring. But the team I picked for the Mets could have built on past success and possibly could have avoided the pitfalls that would emerge in the ensuing years.

    Ep. 1620 - Blake Treinen And Parallel Thinking - 3 - 31 - 2017 Mar 31, 2017
    Show notes

ESPN evidently came up with the same line I have been saying for years. I chalk it up to parallel thinking. Meanwhile Nationals pitcher Blake Treinen is the closer and hopes to do what no Washington pitcher has ever done.

    Ep. 1617 - Imagining Jurickson Profar In San Diego - 3 - 28 - 2017 Mar 28, 2017
    Show notes

The Padres need a shortstop and the Rangers have 24 year old Jurickson Profar in the outfield. Maybe they should be talking to each other.
