Patrick Reusse on the AL-best Twins, Wolves vs. Nuggets, Rory, and the Lynx Apr 13, 2026
    Show notes

Star Tribune columnist Patrick Reusse joins host Michael Rand for a look back at the weekend in sports.

It was eventful, to say the least. The Twins won 2 of 3 in Toronto and are now 9-7. In a very balanced American League so far, that's good enough to be tied for the best record in the AL.

Plus the Wolves will face the Nuggets in the playoffs, the Wild have a goalie question, the Lynx are remaking their roster and Rory had quite a weekend at The Masters.

A missed chance and goalie question for the Wild; A deep look at the red-hot Twins Apr 10, 2026
    Show notes

Introduction: Host Michael Rand looks at the Wild's 5-4 loss Thursday at Dallas. It was a great game, and it was everything Minnesota could have wanted -- except in terms of the outcome, which hinged largely on leaky goaltending from Filip Gustavsson. What is the plan in net with the playoffs approaching (and almost certainly starting in Dallas)? Plus a free agency miss for the Lynx.

9:00: Bobby Nightengale Jr. joins Rand for a deep dive on the Twins. What's different this year with Derek Shelton at the helm? What do they still need from Royce Lewis? And who might be the first callups?

36:00: The Twins swept the Tigers.
