The Counterpunch! with Floyd Brown Feb 21, 2023

Show notes

Stephen E Strang talks with The Western Journal's Floyd Brown about his new book "The Counterpunch!"

This book will illuminate how we can implement peaceful resistance against the immorality and policies of the Radical Left to bring a renewal of liberty, freedom, and biblically based principles back to America.
In his groundbreaking new book, Counterpunch, Floyd G. Brown issues both the battle cry and a strategic action plan for a populist movement in America that goes beyond any president or political party. Issue by issue, the Left chooses new markers in the sand and waits to see who will embrace their agenda. Those who don’t are canceled and silenced. This leads to alienation and the feeling that violence is the only option left. Brown wants readers to know there is another way, a civil disobedience of the state that allows us to be peaceful—and potentially more successful.
Counterpunch explains step-by-step how you can take part in a second American Revolution that will completely reorder the country under new governing principles. Touted as the Christian answer to Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals, Brown’s Counterpunch outlines a strategy for mobilizing a peaceful resistance that leads to collective action.
Utilizing an evergreen approach that isn’t focused on specific public policy issues, Floyd delivers a practical, biblically based plan for every American that will lead to the renewal of liberty.

The History of Revival in America Feb 21, 2023

Show notes

One of the things I have devoted my life to is reporting on moves of the Holy Spirit. Across history there have been innumerable moves of God, all of which can give historical perspective to the Asbury University revival happening today.
Jim Garlow says, "history is written in phases." I'm breaking down some of those phases of America's revival history, to give more perspective to Asbury and the start of the Third Great Awakening in my latest Strang Report podcast.

Revival of Repentance with Jim Garllow Eyewitness report on the Asbury Revival Feb 21, 2023

Show notes

Jim Garlow, was one of the first people to post about the Asbury University revival on social media when it started 13 days ago. In a follow-up interview, he explains what sounded like waves of an ocean as he stood in the wooden pews worshipping God in Hughes Auditorium. In my first conversation with Garlow, we talk about the tie between the Asbury revival and the Third Great Awakening. Now he is sharing his eyewitness view of what happened right before Asbury University announced the revival would stop on campus Wednesday, Feb. 22nd. "Just continual worship and praise. Bunch of students standing on the stage and the auditorium is packed," he says. Garlow heard from officials at the revival that 25,000 people came to Wilmore, Kentucky on Saturday. Cars were backed up 1.3 miles with 'revival at capacity' signs lit up on the highway...

... For Garlow, this has changed his focus in ministry. He is now asking God how he can take what he has seen and experienced firsthand at Asbury University to the rest of the world. Check out www.WellVersedWorld.org where Garlow is gathering together all of the videos and pictures posted from the revival for record keeping.

A Message to Silence Asbury University Critics With Mario Murillo Feb 20, 2023

Show notes

When the Jesus movement took off in the late 1960's, hippies with long wild hair and bare feet came together to worship God on college campuses. Many Christians were critical of their rhythm, drums, electric guitars and funky style.
Later, many of those critical Christians came to accept what God was doing during that movement. Now with the Asbury revival, it's important to take a look at history to determine how Christians should respond.
I sat down with Mario Murillo to talk about the "holy peer pressure" taking place across the nation.

Restoration, Hope & Future in Revival Fire at Lee University Feb 16, 2023

Show notes

It's amazing what is beginning to happen on our college campuses. With the Asbury University Revival more than a week in, other pockets of revival are beginning to break out around America, which is extremely encouraging for a country in desperate need of God.
There is another one that is beginning to take hold at Lee University—a private, Christian university in Cleveland, Tennessee—and it looks as if the Holy Spirit is moving mightily among the students and faculty there. I had the privilege or recently talking to Lee University's president, Mark Walker, who says this move of God began Monday morning as an organic, spontaneous prayer vigil by a handful of students.
This all reminds me of the early days of Pentecost. There was a day when the Lord would move in a church and people would stay at the altars, usually after a Sunday night service, and pray through. Does anyone remember that expression? We don't see that much anymore.
This is a beautiful, spontaneous, very Pentecostal thing to do. Mark told me that he knew many of the Lee students who began the revival, and that it quickly began to spread to the community in Cleveland who began to hear about it.
Mark says what is happening is what revival is all about.
