"Too much drama!" Buffy thought to himself.

The last few holidays had been much too exciting, Buffy wanted to spend this Easter somewhere quieter where he couldn’t get into any trouble. Easter Island sounded like the perfect place to celebrate Easter. Surely he couldn’t get into any trouble on an island dedicated to Easter….could he? 🐰🗿

This story is suitable for children ages 4 - 10.

Special thanks to Eric O'Keeffe from What If World for voicing our Moai, and our very own Chanel Tsang and Jess Judd for additional voices.

The Dragon Rock 🐲 written by Ellena Ashley Jan 25, 2018
    Show notes

Written by Ellena Ashley and narrated by Amy Hays

🐉 Once Upon A Time, there was a town that had, in its best-loved spot, a large, long, scaly rock that looked amazingly similar to a sleeping dragon. Along with this dragon-shaped rock came a tale: ‘In times of trouble, the dragon will wake, and free the village, by making a lake’.

Well, trouble did come to that town, in the form of one very, very hot and dry summer. The townsfolk were desperate for rain, but it just did not come.

Would the tale about the dragon prove to be true?

Would it wake and save them from this drought, or was it just a made-up story? Listen to this exciting short story by Ellena Ashley to find out!🐉

This story is suitable for children aged 4-12

Miranda’s Christmas Visitor written by Paul D. Race Dec 22, 2017
    Show notes

Written by Paul D. Race and narrated by Amy Hays

Tips and donations for this episode go to Bedtime FM and not the author of this story.

Miranda was an inside cat and didn't get to do many of the outside things that cats like to do. Christmas time, however, was special because it was the only time she got to be around a real tree in the house. The Christmas in this story turned out to be extra special when a surprise visitor hid in the tree!

A short story suitable for young children aged 2-5 years old

    Happy holidays everybody! 🎄⭐️⛄️🎁😊

Bill Bowerbird and the Unbearable Backache written by Tyler Clark Burke Dec 16, 2017
    Show notes

Written by Tyler Clark Burke and narrated by Jess Irvine

Bill has a terrible, unbearable, lousy beak-ache. He also happens to be a bowerbird🐦: a type of bird that collects scraps to create elaborate colour-sorted nests. Bill turns to his friends; zebra, frog, yak, and others for objects that might help alleviate his ache. Will they be able to help him? If not, what will?

This fun, wacky story is told in playful cadence with rhyme and refrain. A riot of a tale, it also offers some wisdom on getting through tough times with patience, and a little help from your friends.

This story is suitable for children ages 3-7
