For this episode of We Move Through Stormy Weather, I am joined by Jonathan Hart! A life-long Virginian, Jonathan lives with his wife and children a comfortable distance away from both Richmond and Washington, D.C. yet within striking distance should a worthwhile concert make the calendar. His primary vice is collecting records; a habit he picked up in 1990. There appears to be no cure. Jonathan has been writing songs for decades, mostly keeping to himself but, in recent years, he’s shared a couple with Colorado-based band, The Jauntee and, as of September 2020, he’s begun releasing songs via Bandcamp. You can find his work at jmhart.bandcamp.com. He can be found discussing The Grateful Dead and other tenuously related music as the host & producer of The Brokedown Podcast and can also frequently be heard talking about Phish as a co-host of The Helping Friendly Podcast. For this episode I am so excited to be joined by Joel Visentin! A Toronto-based keyboardist and composer, Joel is a proud Winnipeg export with a passion for the keyboards. As a busy working musician in Toronto he has worked with a number of celebrated world class musicians. In 2015, he co-founded the trio JV’s Boogaloo Squad. They have since worked their way up through the national club circuit, recently headlining at major jazz festivals throughout Ontario and Québec including Toronto’s International Jazz Festival in 2018. Their 2019 album, Going To Market, has reached #6 on US Campus Jazz Radio charts as well as number #29 on JazzWeek’s chart for US commercial Radio. Joel has also been the keyboardist for Toronto-based Phish tribute band The Lizards since its inception in 2013. We Move Through Stormy Weather Episode 13 - Scents and Subtle Sounds with Joe May Apr 19, 2021

Joe is the keyboardist, producer, and one of many songwriters for Pluto Gang, a high-energy jam soul band out of Charlotte, North Carolina. They started playing shows in the winter of 2019, just before the global pandemic, and then spent the last year refining their live show and self-recording their debut album Better Out Here, which came out in November of 2020. Check out their social media pages for info on how to catch them live this spring and summer! Joe saw his first phish show in 2014 and racked up 63 more between 2016 and 2019. Karina has also formed her own band - releasing two singles in each of 2019 and 2020 respectively! He first saw Phish at Jones Beach in 1995 and has gone on to see the boys in 15 states and the District of Columbia. Slade isn’t an era snob but holds a bias for 1997 to 2000 shows, even though there’s no such thing as a bad show.
