Monica Potter Opens Up About Robin Williams, Nicolas Cage, Hollywood Pressures & Coming Home | Still Here Hollywood
Monica Potter — beloved for her roles in Patch Adams, Con Air, Along Came a Spider, and the Emmy-worthy drama Parenthood — sits down with Steve Kmetko for one of her most candid interviews ever.
Monica shares what it was really like working alongside Robin Williams, Nicolas Cage, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Morgan Freeman. She opens up about Robin's profound sensitivity, why his death still shocks her, and the personal connection she felt with him on set. She also gets real about the Hollywood pressures she faced early in her career — including a shocking moment when her agency suggested she end her pregnancy to fulfill a modeling contract in Japan.
From growing up poor in Cleveland to buying back her childhood home decades later, Monica's story is one of resilience, instinct, and heart. She talks about raising her three kids (one of whom followed her into acting), her love of nature, crystals, and alchemy, and why she proudly considers herself "already canceled."
This is the Monica Potter you haven't seen in a while — and she's still very much here.
