Still Buffering: "The Hunger Games" (2012) May 30, 2020

Show notes

Some tweens were Harry Potter kids, some were Twilight kids, but Rileigh was always a Hunger Games kid, through and through. So, of course she has to make both of her sisters revisit her favorite series and all about what makes it so great. Also, parallel universes?

We all know and love that smart, sarcastic, brunette girl from our favorite early 2000s cartoon, so let's talk about her and all her friends, and maybe some of the important lessons we all learned from some of her flaws.

Still Buffering: Fiona Apple (1999) May 03, 2020

Show notes

Fiona Apple was a favorite artist of both Sydnee and Teylor back in the day, despite her "angsty piano playing," as some have described it. To make her music even more perfect for this podcast, she's come back just this year with a new album! An artist who spans generations for a podcast that spans generations, perfect!!

Still Buffering: "Josie and The Pussycats" (2001) Apr 24, 2020

Show notes

Sydnee has always loved this movie, and to be fair, Teylor and Rileigh like it too. But Sydnee couldn't figure out why it got so much hate and bad reviews when it came out nearly two decades ago. Now, after watching the trailer together and voicing the plot out loud over the course of this episode...maybe we see why.

Still Buffering: "Invader Zim" (2001) Apr 10, 2020

Show notes

A classic, creepy cartoon straight from the early 2000s has a place in the hearts of all three Smirls, but Teylor especially. Who doesn't love talking about Zims and GIRs and Dibs, oh my!

Show notes

We all know that old, boring, Shakespeare stuff. This week, we're going full cool teen Shakespeare, complete with the best costumes to ever exist and possibly the best soundtrack of all time as well. Oh and just everyone is so attractive.
