For LaNia Roberts, her unconventional dream life includes being an artist. This unconventional dream life of hers is one that has manifested and in this conversation, she shares with us what walking the unconventional path has looked and felt like.
A large part of the journey for her has been the reclamation of her voice, the rewriting of many stories she'd made agreements with that weren't true, and lots of keeping it real with herself.

When we talk about living in the present moment, we also have to talk about embracing the unknown because the present moment is the unknown. This is one major reason why most people don't live in the present moment.
Rather than living in the present moment, most people live in the past (is this you?) because the past is familiar, and therefore, feels easier to control. When life feels "controllable," life feels safer and easier and comfortable.
Living in the present moment takes a lot of courage because it requires us to surrender the illusion of control and surrender to the unknown.
This conversation intends to clarify why the present moment is the unknown, how embracing the unknown is powerful, and intends to comfort you in the discomfort of expecting the unexpected.

For our special guest, Madeline Popelka - who is the Founder of one of the largest healing communities on Instagram and Author of the recently published book, You're Going To Be Okay - she didn't experience her PTSD symptoms that stemmed from childhood and generational trauma until her late twenties.

Imagine being able to look back at your life and say, “I was present for all of it.” I don’t know about you but I desire to be able to genuinely say that.
Being present has been my main mental, physical and spiritual practice for the past year now and, as time passes, I continue to expand my conscious awareness as to why being present is so powerful. I have truly come to fully believe that being present is the best thing we can be.
It is in the present moment where we are our most powerful - not just because when we are present we take our power back from the past and familiar future but also because when we are present, we are in a state of flow and in a state of receptivity. We become open and receptive to divine intelligence, divine guidance and divine inspiration.
Being present is a practice. And it is so worth the practice. In this episode, I share with you some of my reflections and realizations that have come from my practice of being present. My intention is to have you walk away from listening to this episode feeling greater clarity, confidence, and comfort regarding being here, now.

Hating on our exes honestly makes no sense to me. I wouldn’t have the healthy relationships I have now without my exes. I wouldn’t be who I am today without my exes. The acknowledgement of these two truths alone is like… why wouldn’t I be grateful for my exes? And I'm not just referring to past lovers and partners. I'm referring to all my exes - ex friends included.
In my opinion, being grateful for our exes is a really healing, healthy and mature thing to do (when it's genuine of course). My intention in sharing this conversation with you is to inspire you to be grateful for your exes (and your past in general) in such a way where you take your power back and move on with your life as a wiser version of you. I expand on why we need to evolve from hating on our exes, why being grateful for our past is powerful, why I personally am grateful for my exes, and why you can be grateful for your exes, too. I also offer you some shifts in perspective regarding break ups.

Jocelyn Is Grateful To Be Disciplined: A Successful Life Is A Disciplined Life Jan 31, 2023

Some are for discipline. Other are against discipline. And for a while, I wasn't sure whether I was for it or against it but I've come to the clarity that I am absolutely for it. I not only believe that a successful life is a disciplined life but I believe that discipline is a part of nature, and if nature weren't disciplined, all of life would cease to exist!
Also, what if I told you that you are disciplined? Everyday, you are disciplined. You are actually really good at being disciplined. The focus then, really, isn't how to become a disciplined person but to be consciously aware of and intentional about how you're disciplined and what you're being disciplined for.

And while some external findings do bring forth temporary clarity, it's never the clarity that brings forth long-lasting results. The answers most of us are seeking are answers that are only found when we stop searching outside of us and turn inward.
Two years living as a sannyasin (yogic monk) at an ashram and eight years fully immersed in a guru-based, Tantric Yogic tradition, Hilary Jackendoff ultimately came to the realization that she would never find the freedom she was seeking if she kept searching outside of her Self. In this conversation, we expand on the journey of turning inward and learning how to be (as well as the importance of being) our own teacher.

Jocelyn Is Grateful To Allow Her Self to “Start Over”: Pivoting In Relationships, In Career, In Life Jan 03, 2023

One of the most important perspectives I gained in regards to "starting over" and pivoting in life is that... when we intuitively feel called to start over and pivot, it's a sign that we've completed a cycle and it's time to move onto a new one. This perspective of completion gifted me a sense of wholeness, which encouraged me to move onward and upward.
I write "starting over" in quotations because I, personally, don't believe we're ever really starting over. I believe we're always starting over with experience and experience doesn't leave us empty handed in our endings and beginnings. I expand on this in this episode and I also expand on the various types of pivots I've experienced in the past couple of years, why fearing pivoting is rooted in lack and limitation, the weight of resistance leading to surrender, and more! I also offer some reflectional prompts and affirmations.
"At the end of the day, when all is said and done, if you want to grow and expand into your higher potentials, you have to allow your Self to start over. You have to allow your Self to pivot. You will only grow more burdened and confined when you resist your renewal. And you are so worthy of experiencing your higher potentials, in every aspect of your life."

When I turned 28, I published an episode expressing my gratitude for my 27-year-old Self. It only felt right to now publish an episode expressing gratitude to my 28-year-old Self. This episode is the very last episode I publish as my 28-year-old Self. *insert grateful tear here
As I've reflected on my 28th year... at first it felt like an incredibly uneventful year but then as I continued to reflect, I realized that 28 was my year of calm. Deeply rooted calm, regardless of my external circumstances. And perhaps, that may be why it at first felt uneventful... because I was calm through it all.
The version of me that is 28 really feels like a version that is a devotee. A devotee devoted to continuing to deepen her relationship with the Divine and strengthen her spiritual foundation. A devotee that was focused and determined and inspired to fully integrate and embody all the healing and awakening that was experienced in 27.
I was calm as a spiritual practice. I was relaxing as a spiritual practice. And one of the lessons I learned is that relaxing is powerful. When I say relaxing, I am referring to relaxing as a form of surrender, as a form of faith.
28 was beautiful, even in its seeming uneventfulness. I am grateful. Thank you for listening to my reflections! And thank you, 28.

Grief is an inescapable part of the human experience. There is no escaping the experience of grief. That said, I feel it is important that we talk about it.
I wasn't planning on publishing an episode on grief at this time but the unexpected death of our cat moved me to have this heart-to-heart conversation with you, as I know I'm not alone in feeling grief at this time. Over the past couple of years, we've experienced both individual and collective grief (of many sorts), so I pray this conversation bring you comfort in some way.
I am grateful I've accepted grief as a part of life because the acceptance assisted my healing. After the loss of my father, I realized that that grief wasn't ever going to go away and the sooner I accepted that, the sooner I was able to move forward with my grief, rather than spending time efforting (and struggling) to move on from it.

In our last one-on-one conversation (episode 71), I touched on being someone who has a lot of ideas and being someone who is grateful to have a lot of ideas. Ever since I can remember, I have always had a lot of ideas but it wasn't until a few years ago that I actually started seeing my abundance of ideas as a blessing and not as a burden.
After years of pursuing my ideas and bringing them to life, I realized many reasons why having a lot of ideas is a blessing and I realized many reasons why having a lot of ideas can feel like a burden. And the truth is... our ideas are not the burden, we are.
I feel called to have this conversation with you because I know there are many brilliant minds and hearts out there with lots of ideas but also lots of overwhelm, doubt, and confusion. How can you start to see your ideas as blessings, not burdens? What do you do when you have a lot of ideas? Where do you start? Which idea do you pursue first? What happens when you do start pursuing and bringing your ideas to life?

Jocelyn Is Grateful To Liberate Her Creativity & Accept How Her Creations Divinely Unfold Aug 16, 2022

We all have an inner-Creator that seeks to be liberated and empowered by pure love and pure passion. And I sincerely believe we are all being called to honor this truth and embrace, as well as unleash, the Creator within us.
For the past almost couple of years I have been diligently and devotedly creating multiple creations, including this podcast. I've created the most content I have ever created in my entire life! When I first committed my Self to my tunnel vision and consistency, I sincerely believed my whole life was going to change within six months. I really thought that after six months of hardcore focus my whole life was going to be different and my creations were going to be responsible for that. And... my life did change - just not the way my ego expected. And when my egos expectations weren't met, I began to doubt my Self as a creator and doubt what I was/am creating.
It's one thing to step into your power by creating what you feel called to create and it's another thing to allow what you're creating to be in a state of flow and divinely unfold in divine timing (with little to no expectations).
I am so grateful to be arriving to this acceptance and surrender that allows what I create to simply Be and be enough. I am grateful to let go of expectations and sincerely liberate my creativity. I am grateful to be approaching and creating and Being in relationship with my visions differently. And I am excited to expand in conversation with you about this! fellow Creator.

I know I'm not alone in healing my sense of self-worth, in reflecting on my worthiness. What really triggered this for me was the pandemic. "Losing everything" had me feeling like I also lost my worth and my value. But this didn't wholeheartedly feel true to me. It didn't feel true to me that our worth and our value is dependent on our external circumstances, on our performance, on our achievements. And that's because that isn't the truth.
Having this conversation about self-worth and expanding our conscious awareness about our own sense of self-worth is so important because our sense of self-worth impacts and influences our lives in so many ways we aren't even aware of. We need to know, wholeheartedly know, our worthiness is innate. We need to know, wholeheartedly know, we are worthy of love, of joy, regardless of what we have or don't have, regardless of who we are or are not. We are worthy.

Jocelyn Is Grateful For Solitude: How Solitude Changed Her Life & Led To Her Awakening Jun 07, 2022

🎙️"In solitude no one can influence or distract you - other than your Self. And at that point you have to ask your Self, 'Why am I distracting my Self? What am I distracting my Self from?" - Jocelyn
At the end of 2020, I decided to move into my own apartment, alone, with the intention to fully process and heal from all the losses I had recently experienced. At first, the solitude was incredibly challenging, as I naturally dove into shadow work to confront what needed to be confronted. Over a year later, as my solitude proceeds, I feel incredibly grateful I didn't run away from being alone with my Self, from listening to the calling to be alone and finally hold the safe space I'd needed to shed my Self from the attachments, illusions, traumas, etc. that'd been taking up space and blocking my clarity of who I truly am.
All the solitude and healing evolved into the most profound spiritual awakening I've experienced in my life. I have never been more grounded, more centered, more clear on my truth, my worthiness, my gifts, my divinity than I am now. So here I am, having this conversation with you, as I feel solitude is not only incredibly beautiful but incredibly necessary for those who desire to journey this life with peace of mind. Solitude is a gift you gift your Self, and it's such a special gift that will change you (in the best of ways - should you allow it to).

Doug Stevenson Is Grateful For Unanswered Prayers: Life Transitions, Letting Go, & Divine Alignment May 17, 2022

Being in a state of transition isn't always easy, comfortable, or even desired. Sometimes we don't want to transition from where we are. Other times we have no idea where we're transitioning to. And for Doug Stevenson who recently transitioned into retirement, being in a state of transition is a state worth being present for and receptive to.
Retiring from a successful few decades of coaching Storytelling/Keynote Speakers at first felt forced upon Doug. He had planned on retiring soon but not now. However, life had other plans - as it often does. Now that Doug has settled into this new season of his life, he has had the space and time to reflect on all of his life transitions, all of the times he felt resistant to them, and just how divinely aligned they all actually were.
In this conversation, Doug and I expand on his life and all the unanswered prayers he's grateful for, all the letting go and surrendering he had to do, all the divinity that was at play, and the lessons he learned along the way. Lately I have been reflecting a lot on just how grateful I am to have simply rekindled my relationship with Spirit. I will never forget the moment I thought to myself how disconnected I felt from Spirit, from divine guidance and protection. In this moment, I was in a toxic relationship that last four years. When I finally broke off this relationship and began my healing journey, I realized why I felt so disconnected, so out of tune.
When you lose yourself the way I lost myself, you never ever want to lose yourself again and when you reawaken, you will make sure it never happens again. That moment where I acknowledged how distant I felt from the light within changed my life forever, changed my relationship with my Self and with Spirit forever.
This is a short, yet honest and impactful conversation where I expand on this moment with you and on my sincerest gratitude for having reconnected with all that is divine.

Over the past couple of years, human design has grown popular as a tool for self-realization, understanding, and healing. Before then, however, human design was a concept select individuals felt called and ready to receive. Human Design Guide and Leadership Coach, Erin Claire Jones, aligned with human design in 2015. And though it took some years for Erin's passion for human design to flourish the way it is now, Erin didn't seek external validation to keep trusting herself and her calling to pursue this tool that is now assisting many.
What I love about Erin Claire's approach to human design is her emphasis on how exploring and understanding our design doesn't reveal our limitations but rather reveals how we best show up in the world. She is passionate about bringing out the leader that exists in all of us and passionate about honoring what makes us all beautifully different.

I've spent most of my life being insecure. Within the last few years, I've grown confident in my body and therefore myself, and experiencing life with this newfound confidence has made me realize just how important it is to love and feel confident in your body. It greatly influences how you show up in the world.
At first, I gained love for and confidence in my body because I was looking and feeling stronger from the gym. After experiencing kidney stones, however, and going from the best to the worst shape of my life... my love for and confidence in my body changed.

Jocelyn Is Grateful To Experience Jocelyn: Practicing Non-Attachment & Being The Observer Mar 29, 2022

🎙️"...I feel it’s actually very healthy for us to do that, to think of and refer to ourselves in third-person because, again, it allows us to take the seat of the observer, to practice non-attachment." - Jocelyn
Referring to myself in third person has been incredibly healing for me because it's allowed me to practice non-attachment. In referring to myself in third person, I am able to honor my expansiveness that exists beyond my humanness, I am able to acknowledge that Jocelyn is ultimately an experience I am experiencing, I am able to take the seat of the observer and witness Jocelyn's life.
A large part of my healing work in the past couple of years has revolved attachments and identities. It's been incredibly awakening (and ascending) for me to release the attachments and identities that have distanced me from my truest essence and most authentic self. This episode and episode 53 greatly expand on my thoughts and reflections regarding this part of my healing journey.
Practicing non-attachment and progressively strengthening my ability to observe my thoughts, my life, my being without attaching myself to them has made me increasingly honor, appreciate, and love experiencing Jocelyn. It's become clearer and clearer to me just how special not only I am but we all are in our fleeting, miraculous existence in this lifetime. I pray this episode inspire you to cherish yourself and see yourself in a new, enlightening way.

Initially... this episode was going to be dedicated to my expression of gratitude for experiencing Jocelyn - and yes, I mean to say that in third person. A huge aspect of my most recent, significant spiritual awakening was "identity work." Enkrypt Is Grateful For God: Experiencing Success, Not Giving Up, & Being An Over-Giver Mar 01, 2022

The journey from the streets to Head IT Technician of one of the biggest entertainment companies in the world to touring Photographer/Videographer and successful Film Director wasn't an easy nor linear path for Enkrypt but she made it happen. And now, in this season of her life, Enkrypt feels like she's finally made it to point where it's truly, consistently only up from here.
The rock bottom 2020 left many freelance creatives in hit Enkrypt but determined to find a way, she used her last dollars to drop a retail collection that brought forth the momentum she needed to get back on her feet. From there, Enkrypt became inspired to sharpen her networking skills to make the most out of every set she stepped on, which definitely contributed to her experiencing the most successful year of her life in 2021 - not only professionally but spiritually and emotionally, too, which we discuss in this episode.

Let's talk about the breakup heartbreaks I've experienced and how I've chosen to heal from them. Trigger warning... I do bring up a toxic relationship and how I experienced abuse but I don't go into detail, I simply bring it up! As difficult as each breakup heartbreak was in its own unique way, I am sincerely so grateful for each of them because they all contributed to who I am today. I mention in this episode that I feel it was less of me healing my heartbreaks and more so my heartbreaks healing me. I, also, mention that I don't necessarily believe in heartbreaks. In the midst of each breakup heartbreak, I honestly had my moment where I wasn't sure how I'd recover but I did. And I'm sure many of you have experienced this, too. I express that in our heartbreaks, we have two choices - to close ourselves off due to fear or to open ourselves up even more. I've always chosen to open up, and for that I am so grateful.

Sade Ndya Is Grateful For Her Community: Being Intentional, Meaningful Relationships, & Becoming A Signed Cinematographer Feb 15, 2022

Moving with intention will get you far and Sade Ndya - a young, deservingly successful cinematographer recently signed to The Gersh Agency - is a prime example. It's less about becoming represented by an agency, though, and more about fostering meaningful relationships and saying yes to the projects that genuinely, creatively excite you.
Sade never waited for opportunity to come to her. She began creating films as a student and at just 19-years-old, created her own freelance production company called The Red Futon. To no surprise, experiencing a growth spurt of success just a couple of years later not only catapulted her career but, also, her confidence in what she brings to the table.
Being young, black, and a woman on set with a big role is an adjustment for many in the film industry, especially those who've been around for a while. Sade knows this and she shares with us how she's learned to set aside her ego and why it's important to cultivate community.

Unconditional love is greatly misunderstood. And this misunderstanding has caused so many of us to attract and remain in unhealthy relationship dynamics. We believe that because we unconditionally love someone, we must accept the harm they may cause us. This is not true. We believe that if we set a boundary with someone we unconditionally love, we love them less. This is not true. Unconditional love does not require of you to dishonor your Self! You can unconditionally love someone with boundaries.
In this episode, I express my gratitude for not only knowing and more greatly understanding (healthy) unconditional love but also for experiencing unconditional love as I change. I know so many of us have recently awakened to who truly (unconditionally) loves us in all our seasons, in all our versions. These people are special, special.

Myranda Bennett Is Grateful For Creator: Reclaiming Our Sovereignty, The Importance of Shadow Work, & Integration Feb 01, 2022

As spirituality grows popular, so does our need to practice discernment and respect for indigenous practices and ancient traditions. In a society and culture where quick fixes gain attention and instant gratification, it is important we remember that healing takes time, returning home to our true selves takes time, unlearning and relearning takes time. Holy Guardian, Sovereign, Lakȟóta-Norse Myranda Bennett and I expand on what reclaiming our sovereignty looks like, (especially during these times), the importance of doing shadow work first (before coming into and offering your gifts), and integrating the lessons and modalities that unfold along the way.

Jocelyn Is Grateful To Be Willing To Have Hard, Honest Conversations Jan 25, 2022

In the last conversation between you and I, I expressed my gratitude for my willingness and how willingness changed my life. One willingness I am especially grateful for is my willingness (and honestly eagerness) to have hard, honest conversations. There's so much to unpack when it comes to hard conversations. In this episode, we are unpacking quite a bit.
Our avoidance in having hard conversations runs deep. It's not only familial but cultural and societal, too. What are you willing to do? Who are you willing to be? And why?
If willingness were a job, I think it would be thankless. And by that I mean... I feel willingness doesn't get the gratitude or credit it deserves for the power it has in changing our lives! For years I've emphasized how (conscious) awareness is the first step towards growth without acknowledging that the first step towards (conscious) awareness is willingness. In order to become (consciously) aware, we have to be willing to become (consciously) aware.
In this episode, I express my sincerest gratitude for my willingness because it truly has changed my life. I am grateful I've been willing love again (and again) after heartbreak. I am grateful for the risks I've been willing to take to arrive to my successes because I believe in myself. I am grateful to have been willing to become aware of and confront my shadows because it has led to so much healing. We deserve to acknowledge our willingness because without it, where would we be?

Welcome to the Starting with Gratitude podcast! This is a safe space intended to host heart-centered conversations exploring all topics of the human and spiritual experience.
At a time where so many of us are returning back home to our authentic selves, committing to our healing, exploring the spiritual path, aspiring to fulfill our soul purpose and undergoing transformation because of it all, I know it’s important that we not only hold more safe spaces for unfiltered conversations like this but also practice gratitude.
Consistently and intentionally practicing gratitude myself for years now has completely impacted the way I respond to life. Not only do I firmly believe there is always something to be grateful for but I also firmly believe that when we grow intimate with the feeling tone of gratefulness we are growing intimate with our true essence. We are strengthening our ability to see and feel the divine at any given moment.
Before I dive into my conversations with our guests in this podcast, I ask them to share with us what they currently feel grateful for. When it’s a conversation between you and I, I also start our conversations with gratitude. So, should you choose to join this community, I am going to encourage you to do the same. Jocelyn Is Grateful To Know She Doesn't Need To Identify With Her Emotions Dec 14, 2021

🎙️"I think one reason why we are so fearful of feeling our emotions is because we fear that we are going to become them." - Jocelyn
What if we could feel our emotions without becoming them? Well, we can. We don't have to become what we feel. We can simply feel what we feel and acknowledge that what we are feeling is an experience, not an identity.
In our last one-on-one conversation where I expressed my gratitude for allowing myself to feel my emotions, I touched on how grateful I am to respond to my emotions the way I do. In this episode, I expand on that a bit more and share a recent experience I had where I got triggered by a show and found myself getting consumed by my emotions, which then manifested into getting consumed by my thoughts. I share what I changed when I caught myself getting consumed and overpowered and why it's important that we shift our response when we catch ourselves experiencing our emotions in this way.
We can have a healthy relationship with our feelings. There is a way for us to feel without those feelings becoming all of what and who we are. There is a way for us to fearlessly welcome our emotions, knowing they have something important to express.

Not only is Jennifer Torres, a model expanding her creative limits, trying new things but she's also found herself in the midst of confronting hard truths and leaning into her healing. She's practicing trusting herself as she sheds who she is no longer and explores who she is becoming.

Jocelyn Is Grateful To Allow Herself To Feel Her Emotions: Remaining In A State Of Flow Nov 30, 2021

It truly is so wild how we as a collective have created the response to suppress our emotions - for generations - thinking that suppressing our emotions make them go away. This could not be more wrong. As quoted above, us choosing to suppress our emotions is us choosing to keep them. When we suppress them, they don't disappear - they become blocked in our system and cause dysfunction in our lives.
We are emotional bodies! When we have an unhealthy relationship with our emotions and the way in which we respond to them, we manifest an unhealthy body. Emotions are energy in motion. We must allow them to flow.
This episode was definitely channeled by the divine and just felt like what I was/am meant to speak on at this time. I hope those of you who tune in feel seen and inspired by what I share. May this lead you towards a healthier relationship with your emotions.

There are three healing and awakening truths that really came into the forefront of my journey this past year and are highlighted in this episode: one, healing our relationships with our parents is important, two, looking at your relationships through the lens of mirror reflections is enlightening, and three, acknowledging we all have both masculine and feminine energies within us is necessary for our ascension.

Let's express gratitude on all the ways we are breaking generational cycles that come with destructive patterns we know don't serve us and we know we don't want to continue in our lives and in our lineage! We are currently living in a time where a lot of truths are becoming unearthed, where a lot of truths are making themselves known to us. These truths are about the state of our world, about the society we live in, about our communities, about the people we are in relation to, and about ourselves. Some of these truths require radical acceptance and THIS is what we are diving into in this episode.
The other day I had a moment where I realized my studies and practice on surrender and acceptance are already impacting my life. This moment inspired me to write down some truths I've recently accepted (some that took longer to accept than others) and I am excited to share them with you with the intention to encourage you to be more accepting in your own life, regardless of how your life unfolds.

Manoj Dias, our special guest, is a mindful speaker, meditation teacher, published author, and founder. In 2015 he founded Australia's first multidisciplinary drop-in meditation studio called A-SPACE, which was later acquired by Open, where Manoj is the co-founder and ultimately led him to migrate to Los Angeles.

Jocelyn Is Grateful For Choosing To Surrender: Resisting Change, Surrendering To The Universe, & Choosing Peace Jul 13, 2021

"What is meant to be comes with ease. Remind yourself that."
I have been acknowledging the peace I currently feel and reflecting on what has contributed to this peace. Almost exactly a year ago, I was going through a lot of sudden shifts and unexpected changes that honestly led to am emotional (and spiritual) breakdown.
Looking back at this time, I realize that the moment I decided to (finally) surrender to the flow of these shifts and changes was the moment I chose peace, too. It was in my resistance where my fear cultivated.
In this episode, I am expressing gratitude for choosing to surrender, practicing surrender, and holding space to share a bit on my thoughts and reflections on surrender.
If you find yourself in a season of resistance, in a moment of fearing the unknown, I am encouraging you to surrender to the flow of life and of change! Choose faith over fear. Choose to believe that all is working in your favor and for your highest good. Know in your heart that what is meant for you does not cause dysfunction in any light of the word.

Camila Casanas Is Grateful For Perspective: Holistic Health, Body Communication, & Relationship With Food Jul 06, 2021

Camila Casanas honors food as the foundation of all health. And her journey towards becoming a Holistic Chef and Herbal Medicine Maker serves as her testimony.
We touch and expand on this purposeful journey, as well as exchange stories on the awakening of body communication, transforming our relationships with food, and acknowledging play as healing.
The knowledge of herbalism influenced Camila to reconnect "with the rhythms of the Earth" and work with the seasons to inform the way she moves through the world. Transitioning out of Spring, Camila allowed herself to defrost from an intense Winter (a year-long Winter that we collectively experienced). In the midst of Summer, Camila is harvesting and making the most out of daylight.

Tiana Bryant Is Grateful For Love Overall: Coping with Depression, Overcoming Intrusive Thoughts, & PMDD Jan 12, 2021

Another conversation between kindred spirits, Tiana Bryant is a contagious light of gentleness, understanding, and genuine kindness. We have been following each other on socials for a while and we always felt called to each other's energy and spirit, as if we'd already known each other as good friends. This is our very first full conversation and I am so grateful for it and for Tiana's vulnerability to share her experience, her awareness, and her perspective.

In this episode, we discuss topics including but not limited to: what is Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) and Tiana's experience with it, coping with depression and anxiety, overcoming intrusive thoughts and what they look like, ritualizing self-care, the importance of exploring your body and understanding your emotions, taking medicinal microdoses of psilocybin (shrooms), and more.
I, myself, learned so much from this conversation and as I continue to listen to it over and over again, I am led to self-inquiry in gentle and expansive ways. I hope you are led to (self)discovery, as well.
If you feel you are experiencing PMDD, I encourage you to dive into more research and consult with your doctor if you are able! If you are experiencing depression and/or anxiety, gentle reminder that you are not your thoughts and you are very much so loved and purposeful. Please try to seek out a safe space with a loved one and express yourself.
